yep 15000 after installation of the turbo kit i think it was 9000 for the turbos inlets rs4 y pipe injectors fuel pump and a maf.... that was just the turbo kit. still 10000 in other stuff. plus another 5000 in labor... not sure exactly

I mean yeah an Audi is an incredible car, I use to have a B5 A4 for a DD and it was really nice but seeing how its getting up there in miles, getting older (I mean its about 10 years old now) and it hasn't had an easy life (beaten on by who knows how many owners) plus its not the rarest thing ever so I'm a little confused why bother garaging it for the winter? I mean its got one of the best AWD systems available; why not turn the boost down and drive it?

Since everyone else is throwing there two cents in I might as well too, reading these topics about spending 15 grand on turbo kits and whatnot makes me sick; in my eyes it comes down to built vs. bought. Yeah I'm sure the S4 is quick since there no slouches in stock form and if indeed it does make the power you claim it does then bravo to you. 15k for a turbo kit....The dealer laughed all the way to the bank. Back when there was no such thing as a turbo kit for my car I built it from scratch using other import aftermarket parts. Even after creating something from nothing, I only had 7k in my kit (way bigger turbo than what you could possibly be using in the audi) including a much larger fuel system. You got taken. Well....the actual owner did. But then again, everyone on this board knows it was no 15k turbo setup considering the car itself isn't worth that.

There has only been a few people that have taken the plung into the single turbo realm with an S4 and only 1 has run a 42r and he is not in the states. The tiny ass K04 turbos on that S4 are weak and get owned by big turbo A4's (big being gt3071r or bigger) all the time. The stage 3 S4 is a joke. by the way your gtp does not get 32-35 psi.. your full of shit... just cause the read out in the dash says 35 when your going down hill in neutral does mean it gets that... im talkin average buddy....

anyway if that mazda had a decent meaning unstock clutch in it i would have dropped the times i claimed and you know it... as soon as the car would hit 5psi the clutch would break loose and id have to get out of it. (i was only running 10psi at the time)

Try Audizine, Audiforums, Audiworld, Motorgeek, and vwvortex. I don't have alot of time to get on here anymore because I spend too much time there. Look again, Your stepdads 300-350 awhp would get owned by most A4 owners that did a turbo swap at all beings most go with a 3071 or bigger these days. There are not MANY MANY people doing single turbo swaps on S4's you need to do more research.......have you ever even looked under the hood? Where do they join the mainfolds at for the collector? Do you know what it takes to do the stage 3 swap? For what he payed in labor to do the stage 3 swap I could put in a turbo setup in my A4 that would beat him.

Yes I have seen videos of S4's beating A4's, those are the A4 owners with smaller turbos like the disco potato (28rs) or something equal to that. The reason you don't see videos of S4's getting owned is because they won't race an A4 they know they will lose to. The video and recent thread on Audizine about this took a guy (bassed) for a run who has a turbo equivalent to a 28rs, I agree a stage 3 S4 will beat that. Why doesn't he run 317ssayzarc, Don Supreme, Poopie, Mike Hood, or T1demont1 to name a few (well not a single S4 in the US wants a piece of Mikes car).

driving my new audi for the first time today since delivery. it has an apr 93 octane chip, evolution motorsports intake, and a borla exhaust. anyways i was driving the car to get it to operating temp and when it finally warmed up i decided to see what it had. well i take off from a stop sign lightly and get to second gear and lay into it. the boost guage goes to up and as soon as it gets to 10psi the engine starts missing and acting up. so i get out of it and baby it back home..... i checked the throttle body boot and all other hoses but can't find any cracks or holes anywhere.... any advice guys??

This past sunday i order an apr stage 3 kit for my 2000 audi s4... i just found out yesterday the kit is on a 2 week back order. I called APR and they told me they sold 5 stage 3 kits in one week. They normally only sell 2 or 3 a month... well anyways just wanted to tell everyone im going stage 3 by the end of june hopefully.

Viper alarm system was installed also. On to the pics

"So i finally got to run the crap outta the S4 for once, none of you know but soon after i went Stg 3 the trans went out, and since i recently bought a 2007 A6 they gave me a great price on a brand new trans! Not rebuilt. But anyway i got to beat the hell outta the car for once, driving down the interstate at about 9pm last sat night, i had a couple cars pull up next to me tryin to run me, so i did lol:

Frist: an 04 honda s2000 that thought he was tough shit, only mod was exhaust, he wanted to do a roll so we stayed at 70 i shifted down to 5th and let him punch it first, bah bye s2000.... way to easy. (on apr race file)

Second: a buddies 04 vette(intake, exhaust, chip), i was supprised to see him driving around, this time it was a dead stop race, (i have only launched the car once before this), i took the car upto 5000rpm and dumped the clutch, the car broke all 4 tires loose then took off like a bat outta hell! WOW!!! amazing feeling, needless to say i took the vette by ALOT!! 5 cars or so.
Then we went to the interstate and did a 70-140 roll and i ended up takin him by a car and a half-2 cars. That was a good race.

and a couple other hondas that thought they were tough shit got handled also, over all a good night.

You know the five speed in my A4 is the weaker 01a and has been running in Mike Hood's record holding A4 since the car was born with nearly 600awhp, he just removed his gt35r for something bigger this week with no plans of a tranny build. NOW the highest hp A4 was built by 034 motorsport and uses an 01e just like in your step daddy's car and LAST YEAR had a 12 valve 2.8l VR6 motor that put down 648awhp with no tranny problems. With THAT setup they won the Redline Time Attack challenge and broke the passenger side cv shaft twice but no trans problems. Now this year for the Eurotuner GP they decided to do a new motor build with the 24 valve 2.8l VR6 using a gt45r (yes I said 45r) turbo. The motor was bored to a 2.9l reused the factory crank, had new rods and pistons, fully ported and polished and over sized valves throughout. They still used the same tranny as last year. The car put down 807awhp and had to be shut down there due to crank problems........yes that's over 1000chp. They are not done, this car will put down 1000hp to the ground. You will be able to find that information on vwvortex if you like or it will also be in the next issue of Eurotuner magazine. SO AS I SAID YOU MUST HAVE A 1000HP HUH. The 01e is the strongest tranny to come on any VAG product EVER.
