If i remember correctly, Lenny's S4 had twin ko4's on it, and it got beat by kegers 1g talon on a stock 7 bolt engine and a big 16g. and that talon went 11.6x iirc. so i VERY HIGHLY doubt that car is as fast as you say it is, and i VERY HIGHLY doubt you did any work on it. and i VERY HIGHLY doubt you know anything about drag racing in general. so do us all a favor and shut up. leave. and dont let the door hit you on the way out.

That S4 in the video is sillycobras' S4, He posts alot on svtperformance. That car has the same turbo setup but removed everything in the interior except for the door panels dash and front seats. He also removed alot of other things to make it lighter and it now weighs around 2800 pounds close to 1500 pounds below dereks dads car. Dereks dads car probably could run a mid 12.

Some of the more worked stage 3's have run high 11's but the best this car would do is a low 12. I have seen guy who have every bolt on post times in the 11's (11.7 the best) on a stage 3 setup but he has head work and cams. Dereks daddys car would be a mid MAAAYYYYBBBBEEE low 12.

This post you just made here is just like you post earlier about how an BT A4 couldn't beat a stage 3 S4, so you saw a vid of an A4 beat by an Stage 3 S4 so your S4 is slow for the money spent.

The difference between an a4 with a ko4 and a a4 with a ko4 + fueling is a whole 14hp. I'm sure the difference on the S4 isn't much.

I also threw out the possibility that you may be able to run a low twelve, but your mod list is quite short there are many boltons your dad didn't get. As I said the fastest I have seen a stock weight stage 3 run was an 11.7 that is with every bolt on and head work. You are running a weak ass apr tune also, you do know a ssp tune on pump gas will beat a race gas apr tune right. An ssp race gas tune runs the 11.7.

Well he's still running cats (at least he got rid of the pre cats), no RS4 or better intercoolers (if I did a RS4 turbo swap I would get the intercoolers also), no water/meth, should have done the RS6 hybrids, APR's charge pipe pakage sucks, still has factory exhaust manifolds, I see no mention of upgraded n75 valves, I see no mention of upgraded diverter valves, no center diff mod, no rear diff mod, if you did burn up a tranny why no close ratio gearset? How about the RS4 intake manifold upgrade, or throttle body upgrade?

Yes there is more, your dad did do some good upgrades like the bipipe upgrade, evoms and drivetrain stabilizer ( can get urathane mounts off summit to make that work even better). Aprs snub is a joke though.

I don't talk shit about all Audi's, I just don't think S4's are a good modding platform and even when they do have the works done to them they still aren't that impressive. A single turbo S4 is the only way to make real power. Ozz is the only s4 in the nines as of yet and soon will be joined by Satans Child but his car isn't all that stock anymore. The only thing I want from an S4 is the front bumper

I find it interesting you posted a video of TommyGunns stage 3- S4 which holds the record for the fastest non tuned S4, most of those non tuned S4's run high 12s.

Yes, you can. Your right I don't know about S4's as much as A4's but I do know the diode mod can be done to any chip provided for a B5 S4 I don't care what stage it is or a S4 with no chip (saving a few hundred $). As long as the maf limits are not exceded you can turn it up, considering the apr tune is on the rich side and the safe side for timing it is the best of all tunes to do it to. If you don't care how long I've been driving an Audi how about this I've been a tech since you were in grade school. The therory behind the diode mod tricks the computer into seeing less boost, allowing the maf to pick up the fueling needs and forcing the ecu to keep the wastegate closed longer, so if the chip is seeing the correct amount for boost how does the chip know there is a diode in series? Feel free to admit you don't know what the diode mod is, that tidbit isn't covered on Audiforums.

Maybe you need to do more research, trust me I didn't post it based off a guess, I found posts of people running it. Explain how a ecu can sense it. An ecu uses the map sensor to determain when the car has reached deisred boost levels then sends a signal to the n75 valve, open the n75 valve which opens the waste gate. If the map sensor only registers 15 psi when it actually has 20 psi and the chip is asking for 15 psi how does it know there is more psi there? The only time people have gone into limp mode using it is when they used the wrong diode trying to gain too much causing the car to go into limp mode at light throttle but ran fine at heavier to full throttle, the reason being the car isn't seeing the right pressure in idle and light acceleration which is not affected by the brand of chip, it would do it no matter what chip or if it was on the factory tune.

However, the APR tune that comes with the STGIII hardware will accomodate for only the stock vavle. IF you need me to explain to you what an N75 vavle is or what it does then just shut the fuck up right now and quit wasting my time

The full APR turbo kit is less than 8k (if your're retarded and overpay)...oh, and it's one of the slowest on the market

5-6k in what else to make it faster? Last time I checked suspension work doesn't make it faster. A full turbo back exhaust might cost 2.5k tops that's if you're retarded and overpay. "Sweet" heavy-ass wheels slow a car down boy-genius. Unless you're running 17" and lightweight don't expect to call wheels a "performance mod"

Wow, a so-called "new transmission"? Wow, I would be willing to bet you that it doesn't have the upgraded friction surfaces on the 1-2 syncro or the updated sliders... For 4k you could have sent a so called "crappy transmission" to Stasis and had them rebuild it to "bulletproof" specs....

Cars on PJK04 turbos like your uncles or dad or whoever the hells car it is will make in the 360-380awhp with an off the shelf tune (aka the tune that APR sells) on pump gas and right around 400-410 on 110.

I thought by this time I'd be getting back into another S4 but I've decided to make the jump towards getting my MBA so it will still be awhile before I get another one. I'm guessing a year more or 2. Honestly, theres other things I want to be doing in my life right now like enjoying my spare time with friends and purchasing things such as new Tvs, furniture, tools, etc... I just don't have the extra cash nor do I feel like giving up my free time for another project car. We'll see, only time will tell right?

The first time i was stock with exhuast then the second time i had a BOV and a stage one flash. I had stock tires and wheels every time. This year will be fun Dustin! Eric's car was modded the second time around. Tires, wheels, exhaust, retune dohicky. He really had alot more than a 30hp advantage. I had wheels, tires, and springs on stock shocks. The first battle we had he was stock (maybe exhaust?), and I had the same mods but my alignment was all out of whack and he kicked my ass.

The new setup is a bit nicer. I dropped 1400lbs, added coilovers, larger brakes, and Energy Suspension bushings. I also lost ~110hp but that will change before spring is here.


The first time i was stock with exhuast then the second time i had a BOV and a stage one flash. I had stock tires and wheels every time. This year will be fun Dustin! I will have wheels, tires, full TBE with no cats... and a bigger turbo and inter cooler.... with a new map for the set-up. I hope to have some suspension soon too.

You had the wheels on for the second round! I'm sure of it, even though I was hungover as fuck (and a li'l drunk still).

This year will be interesting no doubt. I went out for a little spin before the alignment and the new suspension is pretty astounding, and mildly uncomfortable. In fact, I'm not sure it was even moving. The roads were still slick, so I couldn't go too fast, but I couldn't get any body roll and it is very balanced even with the rear sway bar out. I entered some 4-wheel slides at about 35-40mph on 90* corners and it's almost effortless to control, to the point where my apex speeds were only about 5mph slower. It was still getting the alignment worked on when I had to GTFO of CR so I haven't had a chance to take her for a spin with it straightened up yet.

the $100 washers are special metal and special size that are custom made.. and if you want the know what the washer do... they turn the normal open center diff that does a max of 60% power the the front and 40% to the rear to a limited slip that does up to 80% power to the wheels on a launch and 50/50 during corners and normal driving... if you took a stock s4 and just did this mod it would take your accord and drag it through the corners.....

my step dads car doesn't have that mod.... i just know what they do.. by the way the only place that makes a center limited slip diff for the s4 uses this EXACT same mod and they warranty their work..... so technically there is no limited slip center diff for this car... now the rear diff that is a different story... there is a limited slip available for that

How about headlight washers? When you get into an Audi and shut the door you can tell it isn't a Honda/Toyota/Ford/Chevy or just about any other make you want to insert there, the thud of the door tells you how different it is, you wouldn't understand without driving one. I drive new cars straight off the transport that don't give the same solid feeling/sound as you close the door and mine has 100,000 miles. Most cars feel like plastic or like pop cans with wheels, mine doesn't. Drive one for a week.

i consider it stock cuz neither one give me any power.... the carbon fiber doesn't make me faster just look different then every other bike in town. I never said i could out launch a AWD car with my 600.... just you ;) and you dont know my car... my tq band does not peek at 6000, more like 3800 and my turbo is fully spooled by about the same time as your DAD's... however my turbo is a bit bigger then your tiny ones so i still have good top end.

Well like it was said before it did rain that friday night and this friday night, but i did have it out this past thursday, i went to a car meet i was invited to on facebook, Tyler know's what i am talking about, there were a couple wrx's on an sti, the other just had sti bolt on's, a nice older mustang, newer trans am, evo x, and a couple other honda's.... oh and a right hand drive older celica. We all met here in IC then took a nice cruize up and around the res down sugarbottom road (actual road not the camp ground road) and then worked our way back to ic.
After graddin a bite to eat we decide to go take a nice interstate cruize to do some roll race's (about 10pm) well long story short NONE of the car could even remotely keep up from a 60mph roll and highly doubt it would have been any different from 30mph. I tried brake boosting and not brake boosting, same result everytime, no competition..... ricky wanna run them? and fifdy i will take you from a roll any time!!!

I have bolt ons and small injectors. Motor is completely stock besides cams. Head has never even been off the car. Stock style turbo. You should be able to "walk" me with your 5k clutch drops.
