I don't often send out things like this, but I am beginning to think that if the citizens of our great country don't start doing and saying something, we are going to be over-run with illegal immigrants who seem to think they can come in here and do as they please! If they want to become citizens, FINE, they can wait their turn, like they are supposed to! And they can learn our language and fly the AMERICAN flag. We owe them NOTHING!!!

Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world
immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon,

For once, I completely agree. Illegal immigration won't affect Iowa as much as most southern/west coast states, but it still pisses me off. If I illegally immigrated to another country, their citizens would want me to go home. So why is not okay for me to say that I don't want illegal immigrants in our country either? Of course all the PC people will say that everyone in this country used to be an immigrant too. Thats true, but not anymore. Every single person who is a citizen of the US who was born here did not immigrate. Therefore I shouldn't have to accept illegal immigration. If they spent the time learning our language, learning skills, and immigrating properly, I wouldnt have such a problem. I especially hate the language issue. If I went to France, I'd speak French. Don't come to our country and speak your language. Also, dont come here and fly our flag upside down or have parades in the street about how we should accept you. Youre in our country. Either conform or go back to your hovel. Its that simple. I wish the government would get fed up and just say that the militiamen at the border can just openly fire on anyone crossing the border. Not only would I move to the border, but it'd definitely make them think twice about coming here illegally.

In Marshalltown my nephews have to go across town to school because the school by their house is all Mexican and the kids have to speak Spanish or be Mexican to go to that school. Now that just sucks.
Marshalltown was a nice town but its almost half Mexican now due to the packing plant. I know it hurt a lot of people with years at the packing plant here but I'm telling you be happy it closed.
My father in law works at the court house and said every night the cops are called out to the Mexican areas for disturbances but they don't put it in the paper as it would make it a book.
The Ins was at Swift packing in Marshalltown today and my aunt said they got a few illegals but said when the word got all they were running out of the place to get away.
My sister is a nurse at the hospital in Marshalltown and she said none of them have insurance but they cant turn them away and they had to hire interpreters so she would know what they were saying. We pay for all that.
Places where I deliver in Chicago are candy places and its nothing but Mexican and I do want you all to know the most of them are really nice but send most their money to Mexico and when they retire most have told me they will go back. Now if some are legal and get social security that money will be sent to them in Mexico also.

i was saying i agree with Warchild and Sandman. it sucks, and i agree with them, but the chances of our government getting fed up and telling them to leave are just slim and none. all it would take was a few officials to oppose it and im sure all the aliens would support them. i wish there was a better answer to the problem, but i'll admit i sure dont know it.
speaking of marshalltown and mexicans.. there's a federal raid going on right now at the meatpacking plant in marshalltown to get all of the illegal immigrants there, because apparently they're stealing regular US citizens identity to work there. craaazy.
Ashley. I must of reedited right when you did your post. But wanted to add that I heard on the radio where more and more are coming to Iowa because they've heard its a great state.
Also heard when the Democrats take office in the House and Senate the fence will not go up on the border.
How were we immigrants when at the time we came to this country it wasnt actually a country, it was just land the Indians hunted on and migrated back and forth through the seasons. Also according to history even the indians migrated here coming from russia over through alaska and then down towards mexico.
We claimed the land, indians could have fought us for it but they beleived no one owned the land and didnt put up much of a fight (but yet they own land now for casinos) yes we may have taken what they used but its how the world has been since time existed. Same as hunting, but will get into that later (peta).
But now that we have established a country and have set laws anyone coming here against out laws is an illegal immigrant, doesnt matter how you look at it.
I just hate when people say we were immigrants when we came here yet if you look at the definition is a false statement.
Also another place INS needs to raid is Tyson foods in Columbus junction.
I'm not trying to defend illegal immigration at all, they need to pay their taxes, the roads in LA/Orange/Riverside/San Bernadino are deplorable, many other public services are lacking as well. But, IMHO, you can't blame the immigrants. They do jobs no one else wants (picking strawberries in 100+ degree heat is not fun) for less, they just want to feed their families. Mexicans feel that this is their country (at least Califa!), and rightfully so in SOME respects, so they feel no need to learn English. I hate to say it, but short of armed white people killing off the immigrants, it's not going to stop, and I really don't see that as a plausible option. As far as the gang issue, it's not just Hispanics/Asians. African-Americans (Bloods/Crips) and Caucasians(Peni/NLR) have gangs too.

I disagree with the 'They're doing work we won't do' argument. They're just doing it for a lot cheaper wage than anybody else in there right mind would. Which drives down the wage base for everybody. They'll work for the lower wage because they can't complain much when they're faced with deportation. How is california or any part of the US rightfully theirs in some respects? Don't quite understand that one. I can't blame immigrants for wanting a better life. I can blame the government for not getting a handle on this and just letting the illegal population walk all over us with absolutely no opposition. We need to close off the southern border copletely. If we can afford the cost of a war overseas we can sure as hell afford to build walls and adequately man it with armed personel.
