    terminator motor weight?

    what is the full weight of the 03/04 cobra motor, supercharger and all? just was curious if that weighed more than the ls iron blocks?

    I honestly don't know.

    For swapper considerations though, its not the weight that's the issue, its the width. Suuuuper wide.

    That being said, it'd be a definite upgrade for you

    no its purely out of curiousity there is a lot of motor swaps in the rx7 but i don't recall a 4.6 ever and I have no desire to be the first

    I remember it being a discussion back in my FC days and quickly being shot down once someone posted up a pic of a 4 valve longblock. Don't be afraid to be a trailblazer, Ryan..

    Those DOHC heads and supercharger will be the biggest difference in weight between the two. I'd think they would be around 150lbs more than a aluminum ls longblock. I do think the larger structure of the 16 valve heads do help with cylinder sealing though. Now you have to count all your turbo hardware also though (which hangs way out front).

    When I sold mine complete with S/C, flywheel, etc, shipping weight was 720 pounds including the pallet.

    Dry I think they weight around 680 lbs...swap in an aluminum block and your looking at around 600 lbs.

    yea, When I had mine shipped they said 680. from conway.
