Re: NA lsx makes over 1000hp
Yea that's looks impressive but it's a full out race engine at 420 some ci. w a solid roller cam and cnc heads and +15/1 compression. Now a stock old skool nhra stock class n/a 427 ford fe has run well see here... 3500# 67 fairlane mind you...Stock like unported heads and flat tappet cam... I told you guys he makes good stuff...That's w a 245# cast iron block. Not the 120# alum as it isn't legal in nhra stock. And that's at stock compression of around 11/1. Pump gas range. There is more than one way to skin a cat imo.. Apples to oranges but figure more hp w cnc, roller cam and compression. Old skool can be plenty good w new parts. And btw the lsx has a clutchless liberty tranny. Def worth some et. and speed. That would never fly in nhra stock classes. Why I put in a no no in the runoff. Still it's good... hp is hp.
Robert Pond’s newest AA/Stock record is 9.68 seconds
