recently bought a 96 firebird trans am Lt1 convertible. It started overheating and found that the thermostat was bad and the fans weren't even plugged in...i can't believe no one noticed that...price of car was reasonable...its my weekend car.

*Cough *cough who found that the t-stat was out? Haha, just messing with ya. Its a really clean LT1 man, I found that the WS6 hood (ram air hood) can be had for around $400 bucks online and a decent catback could be found for $350-$400.
Remember you'd have to get the ram air intake (WS6 intake) to make the hood functional ram air. Otherwise it'd be functional as in cool the engine temps a bit but wouldn't be functional like the factory setups are. They also sell ram air hoods that look the same but are purely cosmetic only and they are about the same price. Oh and fix your cd player!
thanks for the "advice" newspeedsteed. I figured i would ask you and confirm what i was thinking...better chance of not changing unneeded parts.
