it saves me lots of gas money. going from 15mpg with the blazer to 30mpg w/ the cavalier, significant difference. the dent will be easy to fix, its getting the trunk open, thats the fun part.

i have to ask.... sorry im a math guy.... did you take the time to figure out how many miles you have to drive that new car saving money on gas for it to pay for its self? Im just saying i dont know what you paid for it but lets say 3000.... you still have to put gas in both cars now and you have to pay for the new car... just seems like driving the Trail Blazer would still be cheaper for at least a few years? your payments are going to be more then gas costs you in the blazer and now you have two cars to maintain.... unless of course you get a really good deal.

^ I actually said the same thing to him. But Matt was set on a car he didnt care about. It was $500 I believe he said. But yea, I really does cost more at the beginning and probably forever to have both over just the one. Just in comparing annual fuel costs the Cav would be $1600 and the blazer $2200. Thats $600 savings if the Blazer is never driven. Add the cost of the car, save $100. Ad registration (typically around $100 if im not mistaken) and you save $0. Then add in insurance, maintenance, and yearly registration. So I guess maybe after 5 years it would save some money.

Then again I have a feeling matt wanted a 5spd and is using gas mileage as an excuse.

btw if your not driving any highway anymore, its probably not gonna have a bit of an impact on gas use. cav 20 city, blazer 14 city.

Lemme know if you wanna go gravel cruising tho.

    Re: Got me a DD.

I paid $600 for it. And now living in waterloo all i ever drive is city. ive driven it for almost a month now on the same tank which only cost $20 to fill. the blazer i would have to fill up every 2 - 2 1/2 weeks costing $35-$40 to fill up. So look at it this way every month lets say i spend $25 on gas for the cavalier and i would spend average $75 a month to fill the blazer. Thats a $50 difference every month. and only paying $600 for it + $100 for registration and plates and $80 every 6 months for insurance. Also where the blazer cost around $45 or so for an oil change the cavalier cost $25 for a change. Plus no more ware and tear and door dings and scratches on the blazer from idiots in waterloo.

    Re: Got me a DD.

Why does an oil change cost $45 ?! Let alone $25. Mobile clean 5000 = $12

I used 15k mile standard documented ratings for the values.

Where is the new place at?
