Important Profile settings you should make

Now that our new forum sends emails you should take advantage of this and make sure you get notified by email of any private messages or replys to threads your interested in.

Go to 'Forum Actions' -> 'General Settings' and make sure 'Recieve Email from Administrators' and 'Recieve Email from Other Members' is checked. 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' should be set to 'Instantly Using Email' so that when you post you'll get emails when someone replys . You can also opt not to recieve emails at the bottom of each specific thread you reply to.

Also turn on 'Recieve Email Notifications of Private Messages'

Another benefit to our forum emails system working is that new members can be instantly approved vs manually approved like our old forum. This was frustrating for new members having to wait and ultimately never getting an email when their account was approved. It was also extra work for me to have to monitor and approve new members manually

bump, you guys should really turn on private message email notifications. also make sure your PM inbox is not full as the transfer from the new forum brought in a bunch of old messages
