CR:U Got another SPEED facelift :)

With all these new forums popping up around every corner with almost no posts, forum speed is all the rage anymore. Unfortunately, it's hard for your dinosaured-old CR:U with 105,000 (yes ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE THOUSAND) posts to compete with the speed of a forum with say.... 500 posts.

The idea is, the more posts you have, the longer it takes the SQL servers to search for the specific information it needs in the database.

Well, I have fixed the problem. As of yesterday, CR:U has been trimmed down to about 12,000 posts. I deleted every topic that hasn't been replied to in the last 2 months.

The result? The result is about a 50% increase in speed. We were already moving pretty fast anyways with this new VPS, but I decided to kick it up a notch with this.

Where are the old posts you ask? Well they're in the CR:U Archive. Yes they still exist and I will be unveiling the CR:U Archive in the upcoming future. It's set up right now but we just have some design work to complete on it.
