i am doubting Layne knows what that means. a Powerglide is a GM(or at least based off of a GM design) transmission that only has two forward gears. with enough power and the right torque converter, 2 gears is plenty.

ive never heard of a 3 gear Powerglide- only people using gear splitters on them to get 4 gears.

Eh I wouldn't be worried about them taking their cars to the track. I'd be more concerned about them stealing that car from the track.

oh I figured it'd be something like that, because I've seen drift cars that only had a 2-speed in it, but didn't know what that was called. Thanks for the insight.

ive never heard of any drift car using an auto trans, and i highly doubt any of them run a 2 speed manual. perhaps what you heard was that they usually only use two gears while drifting in an event?

Hmm I don't know, it was a "drift" car for sale that said it only had two speeds, but could be someone trying to fake it, I don't know.
