So, 1/4 tank of gas and about an hour of driving and you bastards left like .5-1 minute before i got there! Mainyl because my dumb ass missed Green Castle ave and drove like 10 miles down 120th until i Finaly thought it wasn't right and whipped a shitty then found the road JUST outside of swisher... (i suck)


SO!!! we have to have a get together sometime before i leave for Basic/AIT!!! If i have to by 20 pizzas my damn self I will!!! We can do a Bon-Fire down at roller dam or rent a frikkin enclosed pavilion out at Palo and heat the bastard or SOMETHING! I have went to 2 CR:U/IAF events and they both had super shitty turnouts. I miss ALL the good ones and I am frikkin sick of not knowing 1/2 the people I talk to on this board daily. I know Zac, Trevor, Colton, Dustin and i think that is about it... and i have "known" them from school for a long time so...



SERIOUSLY!! what do i have to do to get a decent turnout to some sort of IAF gathering? I leave January 8th so anytime before then would be sweet... May be a new years party or something? WORK WITH ME HERE PEOPLE!!!

The very first CR:U picnic, we had at least 75 people throughout the day... and we're talking about 75 people that drove their asses all the way down to Coralville. If we had it in Cedar Rapids that year, we would have probably had 150 people.

But that was back when it seemed like everyone at least knew who/what CR:U was. Back when we were pushing 250+ posts per day and had about 6-10 new registrations daily. We had some people show up to that picnic that I never saw again.

I know I always talk about the future, but once I finally get out of school and have time for something besides school and work, we're going to return to having lots of members on the site. The reason we've slowed down so much is because I'm not doing as much to get the word out anymore. Back when we were the busiest, I had t-shirts going around, banners, window decals, and I was telling everyone I knew to tell everyone they knew about the site. That was before I started working full-time :(

Guys like Dustin, Jake (Deimos), Jay (DragonUSMC), Melisa (MelHoneyBee), and a few others are almost always down to get together. With me and Ashley... gotta fit it in the small window of time that we are available. Throw something up on the boards. Might be able to get something together.

if we get something together within the next month id be game for it. but i leave November 23rd for basic so next spring would be earliest after that.

years ago i got stuck trying a trick over and over at Rampage in Davenport. i ended up falling backwards and smacking my head on the ground, with no helmet. i was out like a light laying in a pool of my blood. they called an ambulance and my buddy called shotgun. they actually let him ride up front while i heckled the ambulance driver from the back strapped to a gurney.

they thought i was losing it when they told me we were going to Genesis hospital and i started singing Phil Collins' songs, but my buddy told them thats how i normally act.

good story, but an expensive one at a couple grand it costs for the ambulance...
