I have a '97 Explorer Sport w/ the OHV motor. I'm trying to replace the PCV valve and I cannot find the darn thing! I tried following the vacuum lines, but with no luck. I tried searching on Explorerforum.com, but all they had were the SOHC motors.
Is there anyone out there that's familiar with these motors that's willing to help out? Of course you'll be reimbursed. Thanks guys and gals. :WORSHIP:

try your passenger side valve cover, at least thats where it is on EFI mustangs. usually its hidden as the intake manifold hangs over it.

found this, may be more explorer-specific

Thanks for that, I used that same link too. The explorer...link is for a 5.0 V8. The OHV motor has a different location for the PCV valve. The one that I need to replace is a "T" shaped valve, directly from Ford. I spent most of Sunday afternoon looking for it, but with no luck. ahh I hate Ford, why can't it be simple like Honda's. :Hangman:

I believe it's the OHV 4.0 V6. Hmm...the one that the guy at the Ford parts dept gave me has a tee shaped. I'll look at it today after work, and the one you PM'd me just have a tube connecting at the top of the valve, and not a tee shape?
Regardless, thanks for the pictures, appreciated! :WORSHIP:

This is right. I was out all day Saturday figuring this out. I was specifically looking for a T-shape valve and neglect the real PCV valve. The part guy at Ford gave me the wrong item. Shame on you Ford!!
Thanks for the help guys, really appreciated! :bigthumb: :bigthumb:
