Nissan gtr vs the street gold standard

I found this and I chuckled pretty good. Some poster said street gold standard is the bolt on slobra. Though I don't condone illegal activity never the less the newest Japanese supercar 480 hp vs a bolt on similar weight car from dig and roll. Cobra's got a eaton for sure w no spray, car doesn't jerk around enough and is too quiet. That awd looks pretty good but hear the ecu is locked up a lot cause of drivetrain limits. I think a z06, a decent modded f body or dsm awd, etc. could give it a hard time also. Topgear compared it to a veyron (that's a croc of caca imo)

Thats about what I would expect. Nissan didn't build the car to exceed expectations in a straight line. Hell from what I've heard the transmission cant handle more than a dozen or so launches from a dead stop. I'd never tell a street racer to buy a GTR over a cobra just like I wouldn't tell a hardcore weekend road course nut to buy a cobra over a GTR. Apples and oranges.

probably depends on wether or not you get rid of all the emissions junk when you put the new exhaust on :D

You guys are 100% right, apples and oranges. But real world if I was to pull up next to a ferrari or a gtr, if they were game you think I won't try it out? They are street legal and I doubt I'll be doing 100 mph curves. Anyway it is the first video I've seen on the street of the gtr vs a car. Gtr it was shown on a dynojet around 410 to 430's. I think a run of the mill new z51 vette would run away w the stick option w good tires.

Yea If I was lined up next to a gtr in the talon...I'd have to try! Now I just need the talon back on the streets...

Yea for the price, go for a vette, however the gtr is pretty nice for dd, and year round driving.

for the price I'd still go with the GTR. I'd gladly trade a few tenths of a second straightline for 10 seconds on a track :D

Yea, I'm waiting for the apple car to come out. But it will only run on iroads and if you modify it, it will freeze...oh I could go on.
