Older models were ford powered till they realized how slow Fords were  and started making their own motors.

While previous Koenigsegg models were powered by a Ford Modular V8 engine sourced from the U.S., the engine of the CCX was designed by Koenigsegg based on the Ford Modular architecture, and assembled for them by Grainger & Worrall, a British company that produces drivetrain components for Formula One cars.[8][12] The engine is a 4.7 liter 288 cu in (4,719 cc) V8, with dual overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder.[1][8][13] The engine block is made of 356 Aluminium that has undergone a T7 heat treatment, a form of accelerated precipitation strengthening.

Its still the same, different block, has modified ford gt heads on it, cams and rotrex s/c's. ccxr is over 1000hp on e85 or e100.... ccx 805hp That's facts Zee sorry to dissappoint. :neener:

Who let you in here :suspect: .

Koenigsegg also spent a lot of development time to cast their own V8 that could drink US-grade, 91 octane fuel, yet still run at a high compression ratio. In the past, these engines were controversial, as they used a Ford Racing block with Koenigsegg manufactured components. However, for the CCX, Koenigsegg have made their own block casting, leaving no connections to Ford or the Mustang. :neener:

Sad to say i look at ford engine cars now and then. Someone has to keep up on the furds... My dads fault, he was a furd mech. There is no alum mod block in that deck height to stand the boost... like a ls etc. alum block besides custom blocks. Heck they downsized the zr1 to take a piddly amount of boost. So there... Ford wise there are the iron blocks or the ford gt for 1k hp. Maybe the new 3v, ford had cosworth help on those blocks. Aluminator uses it. Btw you are just mad cause that turd gt 500 w a stock engine went 8's w over 1k rwhp. Show me a ls whatever in a 3500# car that's done that on stock engine...No pistons or rod upgrade, head port, cam, at 330 c.i. Better watch it, I got my cane. 8) If it looks like a duck, quacks, it is a duck. I read about the k engine from ford of australia. Ford gt heads aka mustang gt 500 aka mustang 2000r.
