I was wondering how worthwhile you'd all think it'd be to mod an alero, if it'd be a good end project.

Mainly I'm trying to see if anyone else has already done it and is pleased with the results.

I'm basically talking about cold air intake/turbo/etc.
Only bad thing is it's an automatic.

My buddy use to have an alero. It had headers and full exhaust cai and pcm but it wasnt fast at all, it barely beat my stock grand prix gt. Turbo ones can be quick but dont go n/a unless your happy with 13s.

Swap an L67 or L32 in it!

make it rwd and drop an ls9 in it, then you'll be moving

it just seems with FWD, it always ends up being a crutch. you never hear "wow, that thing is fast!", you hear "thats pretty fast; for FWD..."

I wouldnt mod the alero, id save for when it takes a crap. If you havnt experienced the fun times with the finicky crap security system, or the junk turnsignal flasher yet...well have fun. And remember, the auto trannys dont have dipsticks, nono, you have to start it, warm it up, run it through the gears, jack it up level running and check a little bolt.

good work gm on the alero.

awdftw. rwdftf. f=fun. fun happens sideways.

in a lot of aspects, the fastests cars are RWD. AWD is just more complications.
