Welcome. I actually like those new civics. Much better looking then the earlier models.

What's the plans for the 240?

I currently live at Marion.

Well this is my setup so far:

JGS Manifold
Precision Turbo
Turbonetics WG
550cc top feed injectors
z32 Maf
EFI tuned ecu
I am still missing the intercooler, the oil lines and the downpipe.

The 240 has a wreck on the front, i already have the boy pieces i just need to finish putting everything together. I did everything by myself and since i dont have the right tools it is not comming as nice as i wanted, but i think for what i want it(drag racing) it will serve its purposes.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Welcome to IAF! There are bunches of 240's running around town so if you need help, advice, tools, don't be afraid to ask. I love the early 90's coupes!

Might have been wrecked... but at least there's no rust on the rocker panels ;). Hows the other side look?

I really havent seen any 240sx around but it might be that i am only on the Marion NE of Cedar rapids.

Here is how the 240 looks right now, i just pulled out the injectors so it does not longer run.
I am waiting for the new fuel rail and injectors to arrive.

i have only raced the civic against my friend's Jaguar, i am sure your cobalt is a lot faster, the civic is just fun to drive not fast.

you know whats REALLY funny... is that your "project" 240... looks like its in alot better condition then most people's COMPLETED 240 project. You can thank Fast and the Furious films for that. =P

keep up the good work. Boxmakingman, JJ240, my brother and myself all have had our fair share of headaches building all of ours, so if ya have any questions from people in town let us know. =)

haha, no, no racing, I just like the looks of the SI. If I hadn't gotten the Cobalt I would have went for the SI.

What kind of setup do you guys have?

I havent seen many 240sx the only one that i have seen is a s13 coupe red with a nice set of wheels and a megan racing sticker on the side, maybe is one of yours. Oh it is always at Marion. I really like that car.

I thougth taht you were talking about racing, yeah i was decided between a 350z 03 or the SI but the winter in a RWD might not be fun, specially for someone that is not used to it.

those look really nice, i love the green one with the 1jz. The white S14 has a SR or a KA?

How long have u have your SR? Do you drag race or do you drift? or what can we do here at iowa?

DragonUSMC
07-24-2008, 03:43 PM
yeah the S14 has a built SR, JJ has a good chunk of money in his... but he just threw a rod. He is planning to go back to stock SR

My brother's is JJ's old KA engine from the S14, its got some parts in it but nothing special, most of his $$ is in the suspension.

I've had my SR for about 3-4 years? I got the car and the engine right after i came back from the war. Mine is pretty much a stock SR, they are built to road race, except for the green one. Boxmakingman is big into drifting, and that thing is a drift machine.

If you want to do more drifting... you need to go here and sign up for a drift day. S13kid has gone to quite a few, so he or boxmakingman can fill you in on how things go. I havent driven in one yet but then again i suck at it. http://www.clubfr.net Based out of Chi-town but they have many events all summer and actually take it seriously, and go to real tracks.
