haha in front of a lets refuel America sign. Looks pretty good, has potential anyway. Wonder how reviews of its power/handling will be.

HAHAHA.... I was wondering if anyone would comment on the refuel banner. Though not a bad promotion at 2.99 per gal.

that might be Dr. Abernathy's. i have a family friend who works at the Center Point Ford and Chrysler dealership. he called me about a week ago saying they got a challenger in and asking if i wanted to come see it in person. unfortunatly, i couldnt make it. dammit. oh well, still and auto this year.

anyone else think those mirrors look WAY out of place? Those things are FUGLY, not to mention they look like they are about 6" too far back....

Where have you been? It's all over the net and the magazines plus I posted a real video of it vs a roush stang at kcir.

Synopsis- faster than the old one with a lot more comforts. Like a new gto w the 6.0 but a lil faster. It weighs 4k+ a very nice cruiser for the highway imo. Yes, it has potential like the gto. However it is rated 13 city and 18 hiway not exactly fuel per hp efficient. Gto is much better, even my fuel hog is rated 16 city and 22 highway. The gt500 is rated 14 and 20. So low 13 ets at low 100's 1/4 mi. I do believe looking into my crystal ball its days are numbered, even for us old guys a shame, 2 yrs earlier could of been different story. I've ridden w a guy w a srt 300c and driven the 6.0 gto. I like the challenger looks lot better than a gto. I do agree about the mirrors. Your idea is much better. I just wish it would of been 3.6k# tops, the old challenger was fairly light.

looks good. another thing thats too bad is they purposely engineered the car to have more body roll for that "nostalgia" feel

Yea I read that about the springs, etc. They are marketing it to old guys like me that had a old one.

are you sure about that? in all of the articles i have read; they have pretty much done nothing but praise it's sturdy ride and handling. only complaint i remember reading was that it gave too little feel of the road. thats a far cry from purposly building a car to handle like shit...

The control arm/multilink underguts offer plenty of stick, but a ride you'll appreciate on a long, fast haul. It's tuned more aggressively than the 300 SRT8, yet not as harsh as the Chargers. SRT engineers have learned they can "add ride quality" to this suspension package-meaning back off a bit on spring rates-without negatively impacting handling.

I read about at walgreens mags where I have been shopping a lot and the hospital, they had more detailed specs. Bottom line imo like the 03 04 mach one. Softer springs probably worth about .2 .3gs not a big deal for old guys. The mustang mach 1 it actually made it run better in the 1/4. Course the mach has a 31 spline sra too, much lighter and superior drag setup.
