i could sit here and pick it apart for an hour; but i'll keep it short and sweet. KMFDM plus House on Haunted Hill and Marilyn Manson. screaming in place of singing also annoys the shit out of me. on Dustin's Scale of Music, this pulls a -3 on a scale of 0-10.

LMAO, a -3 on dustins scale of music...is that scale patented or pending? lol

actually sounds more like a KMFDM and Cradle of Filth combo... you can tell the singer listened to CoF ALOT...

Yeah, but Dustin doesn't like Slipknot so his opinion don't matter... J/K
I personaly kinda like it... nothing i would listen to on a regular basis i don't think but i would have to hear some other stuff frin them to make me decide...

Side Note: Dustin, You hate pretty much every band/artist i like... Out of curiousity would you be willing to make a thread with a bunch of music YOU like? I have always wondered if you listen to anything besides Mr. Cash

My exact thoughts. Screaming is so stupid. It not only sounds like crap but most of the time you can't even understand what they are saying. I listen to some sluring fast rappers that you can understand better then them guys screaming.

definatly a 100% annoyance band.

screaming is alright if its done well and in proper moderation. thats a little dark for me, but all that remains or killswitch engage pull it off well

actually, i have drifted away from Johnny Cash a lot in the last year. i still really enjoy his music, but i dont listen to it quite as much as i used to. i have been really into Tom Waits for a while now. definatly an aquired taste; but once you get past some of the weird stuff he's done, its actually pretty amazing i think. if youre interested, try downloading "tango 'til they're sore", "road to peace", "i hope i dont fall in love with you", "god's away on business". "goin out west" you might recognize from Fight Club.

i've also been into Tommy Emmanuel just as of late. he was recently voted THE best acoustic guitar player on earth. check out his song "angelina" and his cover of "classical gas".

Jerry Reed is awesome too; reminds me that music doesnt always have to be so serious. Warren Zevon wrote that awesome song "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" that i like a lot. my good friend Jason Ray Brown has a lot of good music, ive been listening to his old band Mumbo Jumbo's stuff a bit as well. i can always listen to some Elton John as well. he had tons of awesome songs, too bad he didnt write any of them.

perhaps sometime i'll make a thread like Keith said, but for now, i'll leave it at this.
