What are you going to be using it for? How much do you want to spend? Do you play alot of new games? Video editing?

^ The only part thats the problem is slight differences. I have both computers built to their maximum potential, and they are just slightly different. One has intel quadcore 2.4ghz 6600, the 2nd has intel quadcore 2.6ghz 6700. Then the 1st has one 24" screen, while the 2nd has 2 20" screens. the 1st has blueray dvd, blue tooth and multi card readers. 1st has 500gb hd, 2nd has 350gb hd, not a big deal to me. the 1st one is really loaded with extras, the 2nd is as modified as i could get it and still comes with standard keyboard/mouse/speakers/dvd player.
price: 1st is 1800 w/ 3 year warranty support, 2nd is 1700. This is of course with my ridiculous discount.

Just build it yourself, if you don't have a tax ID/wholesalers license....look me up - I run a custom computer biz out of waterloo.

I'd have to say custom built ones are the way to go. I've built around 15 so far and getting parts for another tomorrow.

If you are not wanting to spend a lot for a computer, I am willing to sell the computer in my sig for $400, it just comes with a 250 GB hard drive, no monitors or keyboard and it has an ATI HD 3870

it has an ATI HD 3870
See ATI has the 4870 coming out July 8 (release to the public), doing full 7.1 digital audio out the HDMI port instead of using the digital output on the sound card.

The 3870 does too.

I guess I should rephrase that as, True HD 8 channel digital audio not two channel audio. And I should have said all of the HD 4800 series cards.
