Okay, the Punt gun is a freakn cannon, not a gun lol. Here is what i think will be the big gun in the future. Rail guns and their getting there.

Expalins the principle behind the rail gun except the rail gun uses magnetic flux to move the round not an item being pulled into and colliding with the projectile to cause it to accelerate.
