ya I don't understand why it wasn't in 4wd. The front sits high enough it has to be 4wd, unless its a gay 2wd with a lift, then it just makes him that much more of a tard

he can talk all he wants. i have out off-roaded many people in 2wd (not my truck, buddies and his 4wd was out but know one knew it) you just have to know how to drive.

I've seen many 2wd's get through shit I never would have believed without seeing it. I've also had to pull out a few trucks... all 2wd. Not saying it can't be done, but 4x4 is where its at off roading. And lifting a 2wd is stupid...

I invite you to try and out off road me tomorrow in a 2wd when I go mudding. $50 to pull you out :neener:

you can think whatever you want. we are in iowa. we dont have any huge mud pits. theres nothing out here that a well set-up 2wd couldnt/cant handle. fuck when me and my friends go out no one puts there truck in 4wd. it takes all the fun out of it.

haha, you should have come yesterday. I'd love to see a well setup 2wd get through it, or a 4x4 for that matter. Too sloppy to pull out of the ruts, ruts get to be about 3 foot deep, not to mention a few parts of water that are 2ft deep atleast. Ya, we got stuck

my 2wd made it farther than any of the 4x4s could make it yesterday. they all had to much weight up front.

We work off road a lot. Got a company truck that's 4 wheel drive. That truck has been a lot of nasty places. Since it's a company truck, I take that thing places I never would take my own personal vehicle. The other good thing is, if it's seriously muddy we always have a cat to drag the big trucks around. So I can get pulled out if I bury it. Also if I break it the company fixes it. Don't get much better than that.

lol where do you go

Domestic Disturbance

ya where we went it was just pure mud from the snow melting, not just surface. you cant pull out of the ruts, and your wheels sink too deep and you cant get speed. You wouldnt have been able to move. Haha Zee that sounds like quite the deal there. Where do you work?

Contractor that builds power lines for Utilities. Mostly Alliant Energy here. Plus storm restoration across the country (hurricanes, ice storms etc.).

Im torn by this, I have a 4x4 GMC that I have gotten stuck with the 4wd locked and drove out in 2wd one time after trying for well over 35min trying to rock it in 4 and then tryed the punch it and inch then thought what the hell Im stuck anyway so I put it in 2 high held it about half way to the floor and the ass end kind of tossed its self around and before I knew it I was on my way again. Personally I would lift a 2wd truck so I could laumch some shit and have nice travel, my truck hasnt had the 4x4 locked in over a year.

That person driving the ram is definitely dumb for not putting the truck in 4WD. You can also tell the ram is a 4x4 because when in makes that turn you see the front axle. But hell, I beet that if Kenton was driving that truck in 2WD he would of got through easy, being that he “knows how to drive.” :butthead:

I took my 79 Toy down to the south side of Green Castle today. It was kinda fun with the flooded roads and all.

no i wouldnt have attempted it in 2wd. thats just stupid. you still have to know your limitations for some shit. a 8000lbs truck in 2wd aint gonna make it to far through shit like that.

guess i should've had all you guys come out and pull the trucks out since your shits so fantastic. took a 20,000lb winch to get the truck i had stuck out. most the trucks out there couldnt even get to past the dodge that was stuck, and guess what?!?! my 2WD was farther through all the shit than any of the 4x4.....

lol. my shits more than fantastic, its epic! Like I said, I've seen some 2wd's get through some tough shit, but 4x4 is 9/10 times gonna be better. If you don't have a front locking diff then its usually a joke.

Is there a story behind the water logged truck in the first pic, or did you just find it there? Nice pictures though.

heres where 4x4 got me...

the weight of it all was part of the problem truck is sitting on the frame here. doesnt look to bad but there was water flowing underneath all that ground and by nine that night it was all just a swamp down there.

my 2wd got farther but it was in sloppy shit the whole time, i tried takin this through the dry spot to pull my truck out...didnt work.

So Kenton, did you ever get the 1500 Lifted? Or are you referring to another 2WD? You should let me know you need a light 4x4 to skate across that mess.

yea those pictures were taking after attempting to get it out. good luck pulling out a 5000lbs truck without it helping...
