Well, i was bored and starting just randomly driving around to different car lots just to see if they where giving anything away. Ended finding this "beauty"...
Its an '84 F350 Crew Cab. It has a GREAT running 460 and smooth C6

Oh, and of course i HAVE to mess with it a little bit. The pass rear window was busted out, i already located one and it is on its way. Those ugly ass flares on teh front are coming off tomarow along with all the emissions junk and the A/C stuff (it dont work so... fuck it). Other than tht i found a much nicer box out at Sunline fo r$150 so i am going to be replacing that along with the cab corners and some of the floor pan (really cheap through LMC truck). It already has a catless true dual exhaust but it ends in front of teh rear axle with a pair of REALLY quiet mufflers and turn downs. That will be going away and it will be straight piped (may be some glass packs) out the back... I will probably end up tryin to sell it later down the road but who knows, i might have somethign that needs pulled soon... Or if i find a nice Ford project it will be pulled and transformed into a nitrous fed 521 stroker (yes, i could go bigger but i wont).

glasspacks + 460 = bad idea! Get some flowmasters and let her sound mean as fuck like every big block!

great... I just got a '73 Torino and now I am trying to decide what to do...
What do you think? The torino is a straight 6 with 3X,XXX original miles. I figure with that and the auto trans it aint really worth much anyways. I am thinking throw a cam/intake on the 460, have the heads P&P'd then slap on the NOS kit i have left from the RX7 (its gone) and see what happens...

why not just build the 460 for lots of torque; keep the gearing in the Torino on the mild side and just cruise the shit out of it? it'd be a rad burnout machine and be a lot more dependable...

Well, i dont want this to be a "prject car"...
I just want to pull the engines out on a friday, throw the stuff on the engine saturday and prep the engien bay for install, then throw the motor in the car on sunday. Then probably spend a couple hours after work each day messing with it and HOPEFULY have it running/driving the fallowing weekend! The last thing i need is yet ANOTHER project car thats sits for a couple months and i get bored and end up selling it (3000GT, trans am, Monte Carlo, RX7, first fiero, mustang etc...). I figure with a decent H/C/I setup it would be a fun weekend cruiser espescialy with the NOS setup!! I will probably paint it this summer with Skye (she wants to learn), she wants to do the Starsky and Hutch paintjob, but i think we are going to use different colors like blue/white or green/white or blue/black or something different like that... It is suppose to be dropped off tomarow so i will try and get pics up as soon as it gets here...

so the truck itself was purchased for the motor? All I see is stuff negatively affecting the progress of a bad ass caddy sound system.

theres little things that will jump out at you. what are you going to do for a rear end? got a driveshaft to modify? have you ever degree'd in a cam? are you sure kickdown/throttle linkage will swap over? what about trans cooler lines? are you sure all of your fuel lines are good/sufficiant to feed that bigblock? and even if they are, id be very worried about running a nitrous system off of a mechanical fuel pump. what are you going to do for exhaust? i'm assuming you'll need all new engine and trans mounts as well. you'll also have to adress the cooling system, and im skeptical of the 6cyl radiator cooling that big engine. i also dont have much faith at all in the cast pistons and stock fasteners holding up to much of a nitrous shot.
i know after all of that, that it'd be hard to believe im not trying to bash your project, but im not. i think its a neat project, but im just trying to warn you(as i have been through it many times), some of the greatest disasters were born from the best laid plans. Murphy's Law always seems to prevail.

Not really, i bought the truck because i was sick of barrowing trucks from people when i need shit done and it just so happened i had to clear out a storage unit last weekend so... I was planning to buy a smaller turck like an S10 or ranger or even an F150 with a straight six. Then I seen this and thought, "hey, if i buy it and decide i dont need it i can pull the motor/trans and throw them in a fox body or something". So i bought the truck to use once then do whatever i want with it, i have it for sale for $1400 OBO so we will see what happens...
All i need is the 300A Iraggi for the caddy and it will be good to go, I posted on RealmOfExcurion about the people wanting a small fortune to build a box around here ($500-$700) and a few people offered up free designs for me. One of which was a VERY senior member who had TONS of feedback and has actualy been selling box designs for $20... i went with his ; )
I didnt wanna bug you on your only time off and being in C.F. and everything... I would like to know what you think about it though... It is over 10ft^3 (close to 11ft^3 i think) before the subwoofer/port displacement...

-Rearend is an 8" which would work just fine for now...
-driveshaft will be made (unless i can use a stock BB driveshaft, rearend may cause it to be diff. length?)
-Never degree'd a cam but i know people...
-kickdown/throttle cable i am still researching, again, i can just buy a stock one from a BB car
-Trans cooler lines... C'mon, a monkey can do that in a matter of minutes
-the radiator: http://www.radiatorbarn.com./search.php ... t=radiator (http://www.radiatorbarn.com./search.php?product=radiator) (3 row with trans cooler)
-Motor mounts will be stock BB torino mounts, Trans xmember has two mounting positions, just needs moved back the the rear holes for the BB/C6
Plans have changed a "little bit"... We are ging to keep the motor/trans as it is and do all of the body work and all that fun stuff first. I actualy got a FREE 460/C6 from a buddy so i dont have to pull the truck motor/tranny. SO, we are going to build a stroker. i am a member on a Ford forum which gets a pretty decent disount from fordstrokers.com so the plan is a 521/545, dont want to go more than .030 just in case it needs bored more later down the road...
I just need them damn weather to stop being so fuckin "iowan" adn get decent so i can start work and get the damn cash!! here is my "parts list" $1300 stroker kit, aluminum heads $1500~, cam/lifters $200~, then machine work and all i should be under budget. Still waiting on Dart ot actualy BRING me the car though! He has been busy as hell, he has to pick up the RX7 and drop off the Torino/Cash
