i was just wondering if anyone here up at UNI had any more information about what was/is going on. this is all KCRG had so far:


A highly placed source tells KCRG-TV9 that the situation at UNI has been contained. The man they were looking for has been found. He did make it onto campus, but so far there's no word whether or not he had a weapon. UNI Police continue to take precautionary measures based on the information so far. They do not believe there is an imminent threat, however, Dancer Hall and the other UNI Residence Halls are still locked as a precaution. UNI Police, Cedar Falls Police and the Iowa State Patrol are actively involved in this investigation. UNI Police received a threat of a gunman coming to campus to confront a student in Dancer Hall.

what ya wanna know? I was in class, locked down. The dude was still in desmoines, his gf ratted on him and the cops got em before he even left desmoines. Then I left class and drove home. and got stuck at a ridiculously long red light where their was no traffic.

yea. but we all get the UNI alert in text form, then call, and they always leave a message. Guess how many college students carry a cell phone to class....

yea, not a very productive class tonight. then everyones family and friends starts calling.

It's a good one. I like to have the ability to protect my property with deadly force, too bad the Iowa guvment doesn't agree.

I can just see some poor bastard breakin into my little apartment just lookin for a few goodies. Then outa nowhere some crazy bastard with guns blazing starts screaming "get outa my castle!!!"
