im pretty much set on getting another aeromotive fpr, but am not sure which one I should go with. Probably be fine with the -6an regulator. that narrows it down to I think 2 different models yet.
but heres links to a few options. I prefer things to take up as little space as possible.

heres a bunch listed off tuners, that just made my decision harder.

from what I remember B&M is a good company, Im afraid to use anything other than what I know works. Which reminds me, my old one broke after I sold it to Trevor, I should see if what needs fixed on that old thing...
have any experience with some of these lemme know.

Aeromotive or Fuel Lab. That's your best bet. The B&M regulator only RAISES pressure so you will still have over-run with a 255 pump.
Fuel lab has all kinds of neat colors too :)

ah i didnt look close at the b&m, figured it was cheap for a reason, not really an fpr, but a fmu...or something. the word i want just disapeared. whats the status on your old one?

wasnt sure the quality of the fuel lab fpr. Megan racing usually does some good product testing, but doesnt claim a 1:1 rising rate, and really says nothing but $70...

Colton, if you were still wondering, mine looks almost identical to the Buscher Racing FPR in the third link on your first post, if you want it then let me know by tonight, otherwise it's going to the new owner of the car, comes with a fuel pressure gauge too.

I've got the Aeromotive FPR part number AEI13109 aka the A1000 regulator. I'm wanting to sell it in favor of the Fuel Lab piece. If your interested we can work something out. Its never been used, comes with a liquid filled gauge, and for the right price will also come with a -6 return and also the line from the rail to the FPR also in the -6 variety. Hit me up with a pm and we can further discuss it.

Theres an Aeromotive on dsmtrader. When I get my setup, I want the Aeromotive. Seems to be one of the best choices for the price.

trev, you realize that guys asking $195 for the import evolution kit thats $189 brand new? I could see shipping savings as that dsmtuners guy doesnt charge, but I could drive to import too...
just pointing that out for anyone else maybe looking.

heres what im looking for. the guy has an aeromotive, that bolts to the rail. All I can find are no name regulators that do that.

Does it matter that the AFPR is backwards and the gauge is facing the firewall? Heres a link to a page on Tuners.

that's the buschar racing SX adjustable regulator. Bolt's to the rail with a regular SX/Aeromotive regulator. Those are really pricey colton if you actually find a REAL SX regulator.
Your best bet is to call Ryan and see if he can get you a Full Throttle one. Those bolt to the rail, and run A LOT cheaper then then Buschar thing. Plus the full throttles fit a lot better and look pretty cool. He has them on his site but idk if he has any in stock.

I emailed Ryan at IE, I think I will stay patient, and get it done just the way I want, and hopefully thats the best way too. Im wondering about clearance issues with the timing cover thought too.

I actually already read that. some people just dont care, out of sight out of mind...but some people put forth a lot of effort.

There is so little room between the rail and the timing belt cover that its hard to find an fpr that fits there. The small ones that do fit seem to be cheaper and lower quality small name brands. Also the small ones don't flow as much fuel but they are good enough for most people
The full throttle fts one is no longer made. I did see some complaints with it too. The only one that I would be confident in that bolts to the rail would be the SX bolt on one that buschur makes. I've heard some ebay ones leak. I've seen to many youtube car fire videos to go cheap on fuel parts.
All that being said, its not that big of a deal to mount it on the firewall or manifold or brake resevoir mount so I would just go with a non bolt on. And of course I think my kits are the best so either the IE-FPR or IE-FPR-SS :)
Thanks,
Ryan Dao

completely off topic but wow did I have a good morning. Pulling out of my apt. complex, I stop at the red light (amazing right). Its a bright sunny morning. Light turns green, before I put it in first the girls behind me in a green beetle are honking. I think...REALLY.
So I pause for a bit
Then go. I see shes wipping into the other lane to pass me, and probably give me a death stare or something. So i say, UH, NO. In 2nd about 2k, hit the gas when she is even with me. Then shes not at all. But she kept trying. Red light again I stop, she flips me off and wont even look out the window. Just holds her little finger on the window, IM laughing my ass off. I recognize the beetle from my apt. complex, it has flower tail light covers.
I check peak on the afc:
rev: 6182
thr: 87%
kar: 1339hz
I usually put 80% throttle at most, but i was feelin "froggy" this mornin.

Well Regulators in, car is a lot happier. Definitely was having overrun issues, but thats no surprise. Had a bunch of extra line, had to run to Autozone though, because the hose that was on my car was so dry rotted and cracked I couldn't believe it was holding pressure.
I borrowed randomhero's nice garage, and found myself working very slowly in the comfortable 70 degree shop. Before I knew it we had 9 people in their just hanging out. Then we realized we wanted to go out, so we had to finish up.
Sorry no pics yet, was at a party the night before and a girl dropped the camera and broke it.

Hey I know where we stand and I know what we have going for us. dont even worry bout it. I have a boost gauge on it now too, just havnt gone anywhere.
We can play again later, shoot I wasnt even invited I just jumped in cuz I was their! Besides, we need to show eric that 14b isnt all powerfull!
Ricky
03-10-2008, 11:53 PM
i never said it was. i said "now trevor is gong to fly by... wait now he is... he is coming... he should fly by soon... he didnt go bye..? Im glad both your cars are running better. we can do it again soon and you can both show me what those cars should do. ill be waiting with my little turbo just chillen.
you do have to admit, it does spoll fast :) just drops off fast too :)
i had fun and hope this summer we can all play again... and if i get beat too bad ill bring the other toy out and let you guys beat that too.
Drifte
03-11-2008, 09:08 AM
HA, yea lol. Eventually here I'll beat that factory freak.
TbTalon94
03-11-2008, 10:08 AM
lol I would have flown by if the rail road tracks didn't sneak up on us so fast. I was hauling ass right to ya...your brakes are just better then mine :).
I got some new couplers on the way, as well as a new v-band clamp so my wideband doesn't leak anymore  . Then I'll put some 93 octane in it and see where we stand. I won't turn the boost up either. I'll keep her at 14psi. WAY below the efficiency range. Then we will use our horns to start the race and not just Eric punch it and get a 5 car lead lol.
Ricky
03-11-2008, 02:18 PM
i used the horn the first time and the second time i was waving you on waiting for you to go first. As for the railroad tracks yes you were catching me fast but i was already going 90 on 6th street and didn't want to fast and furious the rail road tracks.
Ill let both of you race the factory freak any day. that way you can use it as a base line.
"did that mod make my car fast..?"
"i dont know race eric again and see were you stand now."
"hehe"

Its pretty easy for me to do a good thing right now. My dryer hose intake must be slowing me down. At least my bro insists its terrible for efficiency. I gotta order that chip, should be good to go motor wise for a good while. Still gotta get those pics, need matt to take the pic since my cameras in CR and briannas got dropped by some bish.

I actually already have a aftermarket return line on it, but its a little smaller. When I get some free time this weekend, I wil clean it up assuming it still warm, and hopefully have a camera handy.

Ok. So, as usual I am not satisfied with the cars current state. Here is a pic:
Dirty is an understatement. The camera sure does capture the need to repolish all that aluminum!
I need to do a wire tuck desperatly. New heater hoses, thermostat gaskets in ( thats why its so messy currently). Look closely at the thermostat housing you can see my sweet little allen plug that replaces the big ugly emissions unit. Started cleaning up some wiring, but only will have this Saturday to put my tranny back in for the:
Clutch fork, pivot ball, ss line, TOB, and some royal purple I just ordered up from IE.
please be gentle when commenting on engine bay :baby:
