Just wanted to say thanks again to Rob for giving me what was left of his old M/T Street Radials. Had some fun with them! Hopefully will have a new pair before Spring. They hooked great for the longest time until there was literally nothing left. Here's what was left of them

Ya I pushed those tires as far as I could. They still hooked better than the other tires I put back on haha! Wasn't too worried though, they're a strong tire.
I never got pulled over by the police for them though. Just other shit. Fuck marion police (cept for a few)

I may have another deal for you brewing, for 08. Don't tell anyone but I think I'll go the new mt 315's which means new wheels etc. also. I'm kicking around choices either just wider stock looking ones, I like stealth look. Though 12" tread isn't very stealth looking.
Or maybe the chrome fr500's, they are lighter but cost mo $ esp w 4. I would like to raise another 500 rpms.
Anyway the m/ts I got are pretty good, it just didn't spin as much. That new m/t tread looks better for rain and I want to drive it to wherever, when it gets warmer out.
The Nitto DR's are coming off mine this spring and I'm getting those new MT Drag radials also, since they now make the 315 and look more like the Nitto's. The only reason I had the Nitto's was that they were a little more street friendly if I left town.

You guys should consider Kumho mx tires. They hook much better then nitto or bfg drs, and wear better as well. I'm putting down 490rwhp in a 2700 lb car on 255/40/17 with very little traction issues.

Hey ya I'm in need of a new set of tires. If you end up getting a different set let me know, otherwise I'll just be buying some new. FR500's get my vote for wheels.
As for Kumho MX's, that's what was on my car when i got it. They gripped pretty well for a street tire, but they are hardly comparable to the M/T's. I could warm them up and they wouldn't hook as well as the M/T's did bald. They are a good street tire though. They just don't last very long either, probably why they are so cheap. I need to get another set for teh front

Well we will have to meet up sometime and check it out...
Like Zee I don't like the idea of driving in heavy rain and hydroplaning but I need to get some traction on this heavy front weight car. Yea nittos go up in smoke even 315's almost like the stock goodyears. Actually I have gotten good wear this yr on the m/ts, I guess the hood helped some. I have family in k.c. so like to visit lil bro/cousins and my son is in hannibal. I want a/c, cds, 25mpg, quick enough to be half respectable. Ppl hate cobras ya know. I figure the fr500 might take off 30#.
