right now the garage is packed, but it wont be for long. Kelli and i are going to move into her parents house when they move to Florida in a couple months, and the 2 1/2 stall garage is all mine as long as Kelli can park her car in it. i cant wait!

im just psyched on the rear end. it'll probably be 60-70lbs heavier than my 8 3/4", but over the rear tires is a nice place to have the extra weight. also, with a trak-lok differential and Richmond Pro gears, it's said the Dana can withstand 1200hp...

We need some good news about something.... Only good news I have there are 2 tire burn marks in driveway from the 69 and it stalled about 3k.

Btw, how did this get on general imports? Yet here it is listed as gen/ gen auto discussion at the top? I know they were bought out but? Dustin must have a special duster from australia, lets see that steering wheel location again.

i think i accidentally posted it there and then moved it here.

about the steering wheel location; i have a feeling id even have trouble shifting an automatic with my left hand, let alone a manual...

your garage is looking like mine.. cept, your has like monster truck tonka style sized parts in it.. like if i took the rearend out of my talon and set it next to that one.. you would just laugh... hell i think the rear end for my 318 on my dakota is damn near half the size of that one.. you prolly wont even need traction bars.. that thing prolly weighs so much that its not possible to get it bouncing.. lol

i don't see the 4g63 anywhere either.. you hiding that thing or just using "hopes and dreams"?

those are just parts for my Duster. in the next couple months i'll probably start a thread about my truck and all the parts i have for it so far. i think in the next couple weeks i should be getting a rear end for it as well; then i'll need some Toyota hubs and different wheels to throw on it and i'll be set...

Just quit and buy this

sell your parts; enjoy a clean garage...and a loan :)

No for the following reasons:

a)its overpriced. i would have a hard time spending that much money on another duster when i already have one to build and an entire core drivetrain

b)its easy to go fast in a big block Duster; i want to do it with a small block.

c)its just a huge torque motor with a tubbed rear and slicks. its running factory heads, and ran the same MPH in the 1/8th and quarter as i did with my little 360 with a 125 shot.

d) its a '74, and has the shitty looking front end and side marker lights. granted, my car has shitty side marker lights as well, but if im stripping the car down to nothing, its just one more little thing to fix on the body

nah, thats cool; im pretty sure $13k could pretty much have my car almost ready to go by this spring; and if i had the cash, i would still just put it into my car.

i wasnt really serious. It was just an, "imagine this" thing.

jeeezzzzzz.

I wish I was in CR and had spare time to go to different peoples houses and play with cars. Especially ones around the fabrication step...my favorite.
