It dropped a valve (valve float), and boy was it a mess in the number 4 cylinder. Head and block were both damaged. Car should be running by next monday.

Yup Zee the old BS, puttin down .86rwhp!!! I ordered the DSS longblock, livernoise was very pricey and over kill for what i needed so i went DSS (still expensive). I will let everyone know when it is done and tuned, and bring it out to play.

it'll just be a battle of old-school versus new school when i have my car done. did any of you guys see the new issue of Hot Rod with the Pump Gas Drags coverage? did you see what the two finalists were? one was a 4th gen camaro, 414ci LS based motor, fuel injected with lots of nitrous. the other was a '68 Charger with stock front suspension, stock Dana 60 rear with a pinion snubber, stock leafsprings and even stock Sure-Grip differential. had a big 500 some odd ci hemi with dual Dominators on it. the Camaro tree'd the Charger, and beat it by less than a 1/10th. thats what i dig. simple proven combos that work, despite the crudity of it all....
