Other day a coworker told me his son was getting a super snake. I asked him what do they do? He told me they build a gt 500 minus the stripes ship it to shelby and they modify it w a different s/c (unknown) I would guess a twin screw and other parts, tires, etc. Lighten it up some. He said sept. gt500 it will be built so he said. Last he told me it was the 725 hp version.

The original super snake had twin paxtons and a aluminum block 427 fe. I saw a similar car around 72, a 68 with twin paxtons and a plexiglass bonnet at kcir. This old newer rendition has a eleanor hood to fit the bonnet. Anyhow for the meantime the new super snake is the first 725 rated hp new stang. The gt 500 engine will have a upgraded supercharger, jba headers, injectors, the upgraded (loud exhaust) system w the s.s. option w 725hp. That is what was told to me, they are doing final testing read (emissions). Chevy, dodge may not get under the wire and have to comply with new emission and mpg standards. Doing like ford (shelby) will allow a exemption. Ala a saleen s7 etc.

Of course I welcome hp competition esp from the 3. Esp with a s/c pretty easy to change a pulley and retune it.

possibly a whipple?

There are only 2 options a kenne bell 2.8 l or a whipple 3.4 l s/c imo. A 2.3 l whipple is too lil for a 5.4 l. At least that is what makes sense. It will be a limited production car so production capacity won't be a issue. I've been assured I will get to see it, we will see. I've been putting on the best political stance with this guy to bring the news out. I hope it pays off. A old street guy will bare the facts I assure you compared to my car. Best case would be line up with it w a camera.
