WTB: Fox Body transmission

Of course as usual timing SUCKS for me!!!!
I just found out i got ripped off on a T-5 trans that was supposed to be from a mustang but isnt and it will not work in my RX7. Timing part is that my buddy just sold the T5 from his 89GT for $200!!!


Anyways i am looking for a fox body T5 or possibly a nice C4 setup with a nice converter and may be even a trans brake...

It is a T5 from a Trans Am. I should have noticed it wasnt right when i purchased all the stuff a while back but i guess i didnt really pay much attention to it...

I found a foxbody T5 down in Des Moines but I have to get rid of the one i have now first. Asking $200 for it if anybody happens to need/want it.

cant you just swap bellhousings? or are the imput shafts different?

i'll ask around, i know a lot of guys with 3rd gen F-bodies. i dont care what they say about T5's being weak behind bigger motors. i saw one last an entire season of road racing behind an honest 500hp 406 SBC...

I know a guy with an '88 Foxbody that is looking to do a T-56 swap. Currently it has the stock automatic in it so I doubt if that would interest you at all but I thought its worth a shot.

Not really interested in an AOD trans, IF i go auto it would be a C4 with a bunch of work done to it.

The input shaft is different, length is different shifter location is different and some other stuff...
Also i would trade my pickup for a mustang T5 & $200

bad timing, I just ebay'd a c-4, hurst shifter, jw4000 stall converter, all sfi shields/bellhousing, hardened internals and everything.. that sux

Side note: I have to check out the trans i have. I was told that if it is indeed from an '89 TA than it is a World Class T5 and is worth twice as much... If it is a WC T5 i am just gonna throw it up on ebay with a starting bid of $250...

world class are still made of glass, its just the glass has a light metal-flake coating

BUMP... sold the T5 i had so i hove a little more money now... I would prefer a T-5 but would also be OK with a C4

N/M just picked up a rebuilt one DIRT cheap. (from a company with a warranty so i dont have to worry about getting screwed again)
