I need a driveshaft.
Basically 47" u joint center to u joint center would be ideal. 3" dia all the way. Slip yoke, one piece. Longer would be ok also, can get it cut down. A 1330 u joint cap is 1.125 dia, 3.625 length. I just didn't want to cut down my original 50". For my 69 bb btw. I have both a 28 and 31 splined slip yoke. Old tranny is 30" new is 33".

Sadler in CR took care of my odd ball shaft right quick.
Awesome service, fair price, quality job.
More then willing to work with people on custom 'race car' shafts

they did my driveshaft as well. i took in an old junk one, and they cleaned it, shortened it, balanced, painted it and replaced the U-joints for around $120 if i remember right. still going strong too...

Yes Sadler is perfectly fine. I just thought maybe someone had another ds they could cut and balance. You never know what ppl have laying around in the garage. I guess I'll have mine cut and balanced.

I measured my existing shaft at 50" from center of u joint to center of u joint, (the main shaft) I need 47" (perfect) or more. A 5.0 has that adapter flange for the diff. and 28 spline slip yoke. No biggy. Mine is 3" dia steel all the way fron u to u. I looked at a pickup one piece f100 but that was 3.5" dia don't know if that would clear tunnel. Btw 3" is approx. 9.5" circumferance by a tape measure. 3x3.14
