This weekend it's running on the strip. It appears to put down plenty of power, but I'm not sure anymore what it weighs. I was thinking 3700 w driver last I knew when it ran that hi 9. Some adv. at the end. Video shows the progress of the car. So far it is the quickest gt 500 on the planet. John Lund tuning, Al Papitto built mtr.

Here's a lil more on the motor per evolution. That 2nd motor has to have a custom crank I guess cause a ford gt is a dry sump design so it doesn't have the chamfer to drive a oil pump off the crank like all other modulars.

First Motor is the Stock GT500 Motor with Upgraded Rods, Pistons, P&P Heads and Cams, which will have the 2.8H Kenne Bell on it pushing 28lbs of boost.

The second motor is a Ford GT Aluminum Block, with a custom crank, pistons, rods, P&P Heads, and cams fully built with a custom Twin turbo setup.

sounds really expensive......

yeah, i agree, but having almost 900rwhp in a car thats reliable enough to drive a 2000 mile roadtrip in complete comfort....

Yea expensive no doubt. Nice to have pwr everything w a/c esp in hot weather though. I'd be roasting in a non a/c car right now. With the new 315/335 drag radials it might hook up some. I hear a 150hp of n20 will be also done on it. They say over 1k will be available. We will see.

It went to the track and this is what they said...
Still completely blowing the tires off, we managed a new best of a 9.86 @ 146 MPH, It also went 114 MPH in the 1/8th.

So it appears traction is a issue though they didn't post a 60ft. Though I might be a stang fan I am skeptical of any vendor/shop. Their track record is good though and they haven't bs ppl yet. Hi 9's are good for a more or less street car that's gotta weigh quite a bit. Not some stripped out fox body at 2.8k w driver. Not picking on ya Scott if I'd still have my 85 I would have done same. Less weight = hp and less broken parts. These things, lots of weight, broken parts, crap f/r, need mo hp and tq w good traction.
