its exactly the same as the pics in the garage... just now it runs again.

explaination of previous post - JJ240 has ran into a lot of stupid little problems and stupid things breaking after the turbo blew that its been eroding his soul. He is going to drive that car so damn much simply because he hasnt been able to for months and months.

hell yes , my engine was broken in nice with a romp or to on the gas every once in awhile and now it is suprisingly quick for a stock spec fullsize 4x4

I've heard a million different methods...this time I went with start, bleed cooling system, dime under the throttle stop for 20 minutes of high idle, drain oil, cut open filter check for particles, then drive varied RPMs with low to middle throttle. Might start getting on it a bit tonight.

yep thats how I did it with mine, 20 min about 1500-2000, change oil, check shit, set valves, put about .5hr or 1 of run time on it. then off to the dyno and spray the fucker full of nitrous..

some dsm manuals say wide open throttle for break in, and engine breaking after wide open to redline. I go with the run to operating temp, bleed coolant, check head torque, change oil. then drive it with varied rpm, and im usually breakin in a clutch at the same time.

its easy. redline it 4 bout 5 minutes, then drop the clutch. thats always good 4 ur car

i heard let the motor bring it self down, meaning dont push in the clutch for a while.

Yeah you want to let the engine decelerate the car as well, it is supposed to wear the bearings differently, and helps them to seat. I don't have to break in the clutch since its a full metallic compound, so no worries there.

I heard you do the start/coolant/run for a little/change oil...

then you go out and do pulls starting at about 60% throttle almost to redline.

then 85% throttle closer to redline

then 100% throttle to redline

All about 3 times and decelerating down without shifting. So do a pull say from 2,500 to 5,000 at 60% throttle in one gear and decelerate back to 2,500 then do another pull (three times) and so on.
