Just drive around Ames, you will find a couch. There was a decent couch outside my old apartment but some drunk decided to light it on fire I guess.

Yeah, I am going to head out here and see if I can find anything. I did find one in Des Moines that I could grab, but free is always better.

kind of a late notice, but iowa city is having its 'rummage in the ramp' sale at the chauncey swan parking ramp from 530-730 tonight.. its basically stuff [beds, couches, tvs, etc] that people moving in iowa city gave to the city to try to get rid of before it goes in the trash. they're also doing it on saturday from 7am to noon. i dont think anything is free, i think everything is at least $1.. but you could probably find a couch for pretty cheap.
