what brand is the mower?

im interested in the talon....whats wrong with it? i need a cheap ass daily driver

It is a Yard Machines mower. It's has a gray colored deck. I looked at it again and I made a mistake, it's 4.5HP not 5.5 The engine is a Briggs & Stratton. The mower is a 22" cut with side discharge. Starts with no problem.

The Talon was overheated. I took the head off thinking it was just gonna be a head gasket but it turned to be the #3 piston having a chip in it. I got a complete 6 bolt N/T short block for a $100. I checked the head and it's not warped, still within tolerance ( <.006"), measured with a straight edge and feeler gauge.

So, if a guy were to have the time to swap out the short block, he would have a good running DD for UNDER $500. It's an automatic which works great. Either way, in running condition it is surely worth more than $300. I just have to have it out of here. The car has A/C. You can come by and look at it if you're interested.

BUT I do have a JUN adjustable cam gear for a 4G63. The JUN gear looks just a stock gear except it's adjustable and is indexed in degree increments. $50 ?

You guys want to have that head anyway? The valves, springs, and retainers are still in there. I need it gone. Trevor's head was probably used on a 2.4 engine at one time. You can get away with using 4g63 gears but the alignment marks will be off when used on a 2.4L block cuz of the 6mm deck height difference.
