i just really dont like the cut hood just to have something poke out 1/2". it looks lame to me, but i am neither an Evo fan, or much of an LS series guru

I agree Dustin. They should have used a shorter intake manifold to maintain a cleaner look.

they should have reatined the efi...i may be wrong but it looks like they put a carbed mani on it? put the efi in it then get it right....no holes cut in the hood..i like both the maro, and the evo, but dont sacrifice one for the other :(

its still fuel injected, they just used a 4bbl manifold with a throttle body; i would guess they did it so the throttlebody wasnt touching the radiator almost in that very short engine bay which it would have done with the stock LS series intake.

im not positive, but i dont think new Evo's have the reliablity issues the old DSM's have. at least i dont usually hear anything about them like that.

dsm's only have reliability issues when retards get ahold of them and screw everything up...or when someone doesn't know what they are doing. Plus they ARE pretty old.

Evo's don't have the normal maintenance shit that DSMs do because they aren't old. Wait 10-15 years and they will have the same stuff going wrong.
