Well its too rich for my blood but it sure is hot... but then again I've ALWAYS been into the classic cars.

Combining design elements from different classic Chevrolet models, the 789 shows the world that you really can't have enough of a good thing. The 789 looks instantly iconic because it is a melding of 1957, 1958 and 1959 Chevys. Who says you can't have it all, time tested classic design and up-to-date performance and reliability. This vehicle is built on a 2005-2007 Corvette C6 chassis, virtually the same chassis that won its class at the 24 hours of LeMans for the past few years and is known in
the car world as the best value in a performance chassis ever produced.

The price of a turnkey 789 is $135,000, well equipped with all Corvette standard equipment including the 400 horsepower aluminum block V8 engine. In addition, each car includes a custom Borla exhaust system, PST high performance anti-sway bars and a $2,000 wheel/tire upgrade allowance. Any upgrade or modification can be done to your car at addit ional cost, from turbocharging to ceramic brakes and from a 1000 watt stereo to ostrich leather interior. Our only limit is your imagination.

^i think its chevy's answer to that... ford was making a killing off of those new T-birds.

i thought these were made by a company outside gm? they were kinda like one-offs, and they produced a very limited number.

It may look a little similar to the style of t-bird there, but this chevy definitely blows that t-bird away with its design.

I've always been partial to the old-style cars that are coming out because I keep seeing them, and I am always quick to point out that while they made it look somewhat similar to the real old-style car, it would still look better if they added more to it to make it look even more classic.

This car is a much better example of what a good "classic" style car should look like. The rims look a little to blingy to me but other than that, I really like this car.

You are correct. They aren't a concept car but a limited production car made by 'No 2 Alike'. These pictures have been floating around the auto sites for quite some time. I think it's ugly myself.

I think the price tag has a bit to do with it... hell you can restore a real 57 for a ton less then $135k

Rather have the Vette. It's cheaper. And better looking.
