thats a pretty sweet '69 Charger, 05 Viper, '70 Superbee and '69 Road Runner in your background there.

$75 for three pulls with a wideband is not bad at all.

Looks really good Trent. Good to see things are going nicely out there for you. People will travel to use a good dyno. There's not too many of those around here!

this is a dual eddy current set up the eddy currents were 25000 each, can you say ouch..

fbodyguy
05-17-2007, 04:44 PM
I like the eddy currents better then other dyno's, and yes I can say ouch I've seen a couple or them pop up on message boards for about that price used, but they weren't eddy current's either.

That red Talon above looks like Vineet Singh's old experimental project car from way back forever ago. Did you just buy that recently? I see the Diamond Star Specialties sticker on the back. I know that that car was a beast and pulled like a V-8 and doesn't weigh too much more than a stock AWD. It's got a lot of good parts on there... like Quaife LSD's in each tranny and FP turbo's.

A caravan'ed with Vineet on a couple trips to the DSM shootout. A lil DSM trivia for you guys, he's the one who MANUALLY scanned each and every page of the Talon Factory service manual and put it into PDF format for all you guys to use on your DSM manual backup CD. AFter scanning all the pages he went through each scan and used a text bridge so you can use a text search too... a very diligent guy he is!

Where exactly is this located and how experienced are your tuners? Do you mostly deal with imports or pretty much everything?

DragonUSMC
05-21-2007, 08:41 AM
^i can answer the first question... they are in Rock Island, IL... witch is part of the quad cities. so like 40 mins from you.

Deathinnovember
05-21-2007, 08:43 AM
Yeah it's awesome theres finaly a dyno near us. But if they're tuners are no good it's still worthless for me. As I need someone with LSX tuning experience.

drfast4ward
05-21-2007, 10:06 AM
Our Tuner has 15 yrs + experience and lsx is no problem.

how about carbs and hei

you mean to tell me you cant tune a carb and distributor? i thought that was the whole reason lots of people still run them instead of fuel injection....

z28z34man
05-23-2007, 05:26 PM
i can but i would like some one who has done it more than once to give it a once over because no mater what i do i cant lean out the idle and i don't want to drill out the idle air bleeds and do it wrong and ruin a good demon 750 ts.

drfast4ward
05-23-2007, 05:28 PM
fuel injection, carb, timing it dont matter, we are on top of it with wideband and eddy brake. We can tune full throttle and part throttle. If you need help we can help you, if you just want to tune yourself thats your option..

fbodyguy
05-23-2007, 05:41 PM
Are you looking into using a 5 gas O2?

drfast4ward

not realy Why???

that is what they use for emissions testing.

fbodyguy

Curiosity more then anything; I wasn't for sure to wether or not they had a more sendsative sniffer to them to help when tuning.

We used to drill the throttle plate w a couple of small holes so it would allow it to stay down in the idle circuits on a holley. Once you open the plates via the screw very far you get into transfer slots. I thought some demons had replaceable bleeds? Anyway here is this lil article, next to last paragraph. The only other thing is the power valve, I always ran a 65 w like 10.5+ idle vacuum or about 4" lower rating than idle vacuum.

the thing i just learned is it is richer going down the highway it is one bar from pegging my meter at idle it is normal 2-3 bars away. also when i blip the throttle i get a lean bog but that can be fixed by a squirter nosal.

Scott

my holleys got holes in the throttle blades to lean out the idle mixture like Rob said, you might wanna check and make sure your accelerator pump adjustment screw is set properly with no slop in the linkage, I have seen a couple demon carbs with bent pump linkage from shipping also. you can experiment with different cams for the pumps too, good luck
