That's one thing I hate about this country, is the fact that people have the right to protest like that. How they can literally stand there surrounding a couple soldiers who have either been in battle or will be going there soon who are just doing their fucking jobs and completely disrespect them like that.

^sorry sally but a lot of those "former people deployed to Iraq" have been proven liars.

Hell i've personally checked their SRB's and 90% of them were NEVER deployed to Iraq but rather were removed from the military for various reasons. Some of them were, but then again i can show you tons and tons of videos of other people who can and will say just the opposite of the people you posted... so what's the point?

The REAL point isnt pro-war or against war... Its about the fact that a majority of the people that protest anything are too stupid to actually know what they are protesting. They foolishly revel in the freedoms that they constantly take for granted. Hell most of em haven’t even been out of their own state let alone seen another country.

So if it was failed policies, that does not mean I am against winning the war. No, it means after seeing and hearing what I can, being neutral best I can, I form the opinion Failed policies are to blame. Not our guys, not the idea, but those implementing them that close their brain to others that might try to tell them it isn't working. The only option then is to speak up and vote and hope for the best. Mission Accomplished.....

heres my take on protesters: theres a women's clinic on wiley, right down the street from my house. every so often there are lameasses out there with there picket signs saying how abortion is sooo bad and you're going to hell if you get one.

if a girl pulls into that parking lot ready to get an abortion, do you really think that she's gonna read one of those signs and say "oh gee, i didn't realize i would go to hell if i did this!" and get back in her car and drive away? uh no. because no one cares about stupid little signs. you're not going to change anyones minds about big issues by standing there with a lame little sign and yelling at people looking like a complete crazy person. more often than not, they're going to DISAGREE with your signs just because you're yelling at them and looking stupid.

i dont even care about abortion, but more often than not, i get all pumped up about being pro-choice every time i drive past those lunatics just because they look so damned stupid.

Here is my final post in this topic. And I'm going to lay this out so everyone can understand. My take on protests is that they accomplish absolutely nothing when you're protesting something that only ONE person in America has the ability to stop and he doesn't care what you say. To them I say "Go to work, get a job...find something better to do with your time."

I'm not going to be rude to you guys like before, but I'm going to tell ya there is absolutely nothing you can say and nothing you can show me to change my mind even 1%. Yeah I've seen vets whining about the war... but then again there are a few guys out there in Iraq that joined the military because they were a bunch of hoodlums in high school smashing mailboxes and stuff.... and the only thing they want the entire time they're over there is to come home and bang their girlfriends.

Point is, not 100% of soldiers agree with the war, but the ones that don't agree with the war get about 5,000% more publicity than the ones that do, eh? Because what's so special about a soldier that loves his country and understands war? Nothin because it just means they joined the military for the right reasons. Personally, I know a lot of war vets including Jay, and I've personally never met a war vet that has a serious problem with the war other than they're sick of having to leave their families....yet I see all kinds of them on TV. hmm.

But as Jay said, this is not a pro-war/anti-war discussion anyways. This is about some dumb bitch who is very representative of anyone who protest anything in her overall knowlege of what she was protesting about. I'm not against REAL protests...but when I say REAL protests I mean something that actually works. Like if Oreo started putting some form of rat poison in their cookies, people could get together and spread the word and stop buying their cookies. Launch a massive "oreo boycott". Genious idea, and it would take money out of that business's pocket. But stuff like this is all hype. I bet 75% of those kids don't even really care, and I bet you half of them will vote for Guliani :)

I never said I agree with the way the war was carried out. Obviously if it was carried out correctly we wouldn't still be in it. But the problem with that is that I personally don't think I could have planned it better...so until I think of something i really don't have much to say about that either.
