Well I decided the stock fuel filter is a big restriction specially with that Banjo Bolt on the top. I know most people run a -6n/-8an feed from the tank, but I just didn't want to run that far yet. The stock hard line is good enough for me for right now. So I did a little research, found out some fitting sizes and went to town. I got all the peices from Ryan at Import Evolution for ease of picking it up locally. He also had half the parts in stock. Well with no further blabbering, here is the pictures:

Let me know what you think.

nah the line won't fit under the charge piping very easily. If i had a 90* fitting on the filter it probably would. Or if I used a lot longer braided line. Ah well. Still looks ok.

I would be very careful with that line over your IC piping. The SS braided line is extremely abrasive. If the line is touching that IC pipe, it will vibrate, and eat away the pipe. You will notice it wearing into the pipe in less than 100 miles.

If your fuel lines aren't the size of garden hoses, don't bother bragging.

is 10an supply, 8an return and dual 8an lines to the carburetor big enough?

try -12an feed, -10 to the rail and return.

yeah, but if were talking in terms of overkill, i probably dont need half the fuel my pump pushes, and i only need around 7psi of fuel pressure. when i need more, i'll go bigger.

See that's why smart people like Dan (not saying your dumb Dustin...go with me here) go way "overkill" with their fuel system so they only have to do it once and be done. He runs a 3065 now with a 1000+whp fuel system. So if he ever wants to strap on a bigger turbo...all he has to do is throw it on and tune. No upgrading.

Now stupid people like me buy 550 injectors because I need more then 450's. Then I max them and buy 650's. Then I upgraded my turbo...and decide screw it and go to 880's...when in all reality if I would have upgraded my turbo again I could have potentially maxed those out. With the 600+ I just spent on 3 sets of injectors I could have ran dual walbro pumps with -10an feed, 8-an return with 1,000cc injectors for just slightly more. See where I'm goin here?

but then some of us think with our wallets and just stop buying new parts.

Some of us like to have cars that are quicker then a mo-ped.

how is that any different than what i did? my fuel pump can support a 1000hp carbureted motor, and the fuel lines might be able to take more than that. i think my fuel system is pretty much set unless i decide to go turbo or something...

If you are going that far don't waste your time with dual walboros...thats just twice the crappiness. Pick up an aeromotive A1000 and call it a day.

lol I wasn't trying to pick a who's fuel system is bigger fight. Mine is all stock besides that line and the FPR. I was just saying Dan's system is quite large and was expaining the reason for it. Your system sounds like it's good enough for anything you'll be running Dustin :)

does any body here make 1000 horse? not that i know of, its smart and retarted at the same time, i could put a -12 feed with a a1000 and some 1000 cc injectors on my car with a 16g, saying well im gonna make 1000, but will you? now you have cool looking huge feed line with a loud ass pump and injectors that respond slower than the 550s that you should of used to begin with, id just go with what you need and if it becomes a restriction replace it and sell the old, used parts are great and cheap

exactly, carbs to FI is apples to oranges. he can support a ton more power with a "smaller" fuel system. one of the good things about carbed cars
