Hey Guys, I have just received the flier for the Brian Chelf benefit race and here it is!

SATURDAY, MAY 26, 2007

CEDAR FALLS RACEWAY
6200 W. Bennington Road
Cedar Falls, IA 50613

RACE FROM 3-7 pm
GATES OPEN AT 2 pm

Race-$15
Adult-$8
Kids-$3

There will be a Heads Up, Trophy Dash and test/tune racing.

Heads up race must be street legal, have mufflers (no open headers) and working head/tail lights.

$100 to the fastest pass on DOT tires.

Brian hopes to see you all there! Everyone please make plans to attend. I know I will be there. I'll also be sure to have my camcorder to get footage of this great event.

Everyone try to make a post on this topic if you're planning on attending. Lets see what kind of turnout we can come up with!

I think I will show up, I was going to go to a TRUE STREET RACING race that weekend but I will just stay close to town and go to the benefit race and meet everyone that will be there.

i am pretty sure i can make it. my tires are coming in tomorrow, and i should have insurance back on my car the week after, so i'll try to make it out. and if i cant find a trailer, fuck it, i might just have to drive it....

I have been talking to a friend that makes some videos http://www.10wideracing.com/ (used to own my Nova back in the late 90's) He is going to try to come down and do some video at Cedar Falls on the the 26th......He also is thinking about for the first so many cars (40ish??) that get a Tech card (cars that race/test tune/throphy) He would give them a DVD.

Also any one that runs 10's or faster, he would be intrested in Doing a video shoot of there car that may be used in the 07 DVD (some in car stuff too) so any one that is going to be coming up the 26th let me konw and I can get you in touch with him.

He sells the DVD's all over the US....

well today I posted a link, for the benefit race on my site. And I want everyone to know I will being coming out that day.

Just a reminder this is only 2 weeks away. It'll be a great event. I've just heard that 10wideracing.com is confirmed to be there also. We need to get as many people as possible to make it a good turn-out and good time. There will be a Trophy Dash, Street Heads-up and T&T racing.

I'm iffy noq, my mom decided to come up for memorial weekend so I should probably be a nice son and spend time with her but we'll see how things go.

i'm still in. Best Buy doesn't have batteries that fit my camcorder but my originals should suffice. I'll just have to conserve energy and such but I should be able to get some decent video.

So we're still in. Rain or shine I will be there!

I really don't think it will rain Sat , so I believe the race will still go on (when has iowa's weather channels been right). As for the rear end, we can start getting the spool installed tonight if you like , let me see what I have planned first. If not, we can install everything early tomorrow morning, it should only take a couple hours.

I just spoke with Dan the track mananger at CFR and the Race has been called due to rain....we are shooting for June 30 same time same place.....
