ok we started getting freezing, rain, hail, and sleet lastnight around 6pm. i knew it was gonna be a wicked ass storm because of the lightning and thunder we were getting along with it. so i wake up this morning and the trees were all funny looking. they froze in place from the wind blowing them over then the sleet and stuff got to them and froze them in place. i had to do somethings outside and took some pictures of this stuff. ill have more throughout the day. as this stuff is still coming down now

Well 1/3 of the town is down without pwr at least, last report in c.r. Kind of reminds me of home. I hear some smaller towns it may be several days cause all the poles are snapped, blairstown for sure.

we lost power hear at 2pm yesterday. and just got it back bout 20 minutes ago. the town sucks. i had to tear it up on the snowmobile thru town. haha people were pissed at me as im cruising on by on the sled as their a pushing and rocking their cars back and forth to get going. although it did take me over 30 minutes with a hammer to break my snowmobile free from the ice's grasp. i had over 2 inches of ice on the right side of the sled yet the left side was dry. but i got her out. haha

Coworkers with their new sleds ought to be happy. Don't have to leave town. The worst thing really is the trees fall on your house/cars, that's the bad part for sure. Power was out here for 30 min. And maybe someone actually has oil lamps like I do but no lamp oil. And there is none in town. oderless mineral spirits. That will work better than kerosene. They have that.

currently troy mills, walker, coggon, praireburg, center point, parts of central city are without power and for possinly 3-5 days last i heard from snap lines, snapped poles and problems with a sub station.

eh, this is a shitty snow. its all slush cuz its too warm for the stuff. good conditions for snowmobile drifting like mad. but not really fun, when your running through slush and the belt is squealing from trying to engage, but is too wet to really grab :(
