so i was watching the discovery channel and it was that new car show. well i cought the end of a segment and they showed a tire called the tweel. it doesn't use air. more like will its hard to explain. but i got a link with a little pic.

UHM... besides the fact they are UGLY!! I wonder what would happen during a hard launch?

dont know i i just saw the last 30 seconds. im not a fan of them so i wont be buying it
Seen those about a year ago on TV. They were doing the slolom test and a few other tests. They seem to react and handle pretty much like a regular tire. Too much out of the ordinary for me.

those are 'show' tires, production tires would likely have cosmetic sidewalls. Without sidewalls there is no place for the manufactureer to stick there logo, and rocks/debris could get in the spokes.
I like them much better than regular tires. Infinite latteral stiffnes would help cornering.The lack of a structural side wall should improve tire wear (never too low or high of pressure), and grip. Under a drag launch or panic stop it looks like the spokes would flatten out from the radial load and increase the contact patch.
