I just started looking into this car, I dont know much about it yet but i find it pretty interesting

http://www.jouleinjected.com/index.html

if you look around the site a bit they say G Tech pro has it at 190hp and 650 ft/lbs. Thats electric motors for yah.

I dont know how accurate a G Tech pro is so wether it makes those numbers or not its a pretty cool car

im all for the shit. but the gtech is probably screwed up with an electric motor. i really need to build a street legal electric car now.

the G-tech measures HP only. To measure anything but rear wheel torque it would need a tachometer input. 190hp wouldn't be bad if it weighed the same as stock, but batteries aren't very lightweight.

so this doesnt prove that torque is important at all, even though the heavy car managed to run low 13's with only 190hp....

not really. If it opnly made 190hp for a few hundred rpm (like an internal combustion engine) it would not be that quick. Being electric though it probably makes around 190hp for 70% of it's operating rpm range. RWTQ is still a function of gearing and HP and is thus irrelevant.
