It is 2:08 A.M. Jan 21, I just got home from the hospital. Rob broke his left ankle in two places last night when we were in the HyVee Parking lot on Edgewood Rd, we had just bought groceries and he was coming around to the passenger side to get in the van when he slipped on some ice.

Rob is in St.Lukes Hospital,Rm 424 and will be there anywhere from 2 days to a week, if anyone wants to visit him.

If he's still there on Tuesday please let me know I'll go out there and hang with him for a little bit.

sorry to hear that. NOt a good thing to happen to anybody. Hope they set him up right and it heals quickly.

I just got home from Element a minute ago 2:28am. I ran into another CR:U member there too..."boxmakingman". I might have drank more than i should have.
It's snowing nicely right now. Good thing my Subaru is wearing Blizzak WS-50's... It feels like dry pavement . I'm UNSTOPPABLE!!!! werd up!

Rob will be in St Lukes for a feww days longer if not the whole week, I'm sure he'd like the visit .

I went up to the hospital tonight as soon as i found out what happened. Rob had surgery last night at 11 and they put screws and a plate in his ankle as it is broke in 2 different spots. I took my lap top up so he could get some internet for a bit. He posted on streetpsi.

that sucks, i hear those are pretty painfull breaks. how did the ankle manage to break? i can see arm and head, but ankles already on the ground? you dont have to lie, you guys were playing cart derby and crashed.

Yea it is painful, longest I have slept is when I was out to put in the plate and screws. It is the left ankle so that's bad for driving a stick. We will see how it goes 6 weeks from now. Thanks George for showing up. Anyway I'll be around at home for a while.
