I want to hook my xbox to my computer

so i was wondering if i can plug my xbox into my laptop so i can use the internet from my laptop to play xbox live. i don't want to run a 100ft ether net cable to the router. let me know if you know how i can do this.

Time to invest in a access point or gaming router. That's what I did for my xbox 360.

they make a wireless adapter that plugs into the xbox. Wireless is the way to go!

Actually it is possible. If you have a spot on your computer to plug in an ethernet cord, then just go buy a crossover cable and you can go computer to Xbox easily.

If you notice on your lap top, you have only 1 enternet port. you need to buy an adapter, it looks like this: althoug i dont know what its called..

I got it from best buy. For like $30. you need to have 2 cables. and download a program called Zonealarm. After you download it, go to http://www.freeserials.com, and find what zone alarm program you have, then input the code, and now you have a free year subscription...YEAH!!!

anyways. have one of the enthernet wire come from your router, and into the device I showed you. then have an enthernet cord from your xbox, to your laptop. then go to this site:

ok so i found out i have a 50ft ethier net cable so im just going to use that.

now i have a new problem. i went to buy a 12 month subscription to x box live and the guy said you can only buy xbox live for 360 and NOT the normal xbox any more. so i bought it anyhow cuz the guy said i just have to activate it ON a 360 and once that is done i can use it on any x box. is this true? im not going to open the subscription card until i know for sure i can. help i wanta freakin paly!

i know theres a way you can activate the account online without using a 360, but i cant find a link for you. I do know that you can still buy the 12 month xbox live cards for the original xbox.

Unless it changed recently, I just bought a 12 month for an original xbox not even a month ago. and its funny that someone actually caught on to the whole halo cheating thing...
