just curious if anyone on here has delt much with Blow Thru carbs. Dont know much about them but as always i am thirsty for knowledge. What makes a carb a "blow thru"? how do you convert a regular carb to a blow thru? (ive heard it isnt too hard with holley double pumpers)
Any other info would be cool as well.
EDIT: only after i post do i find something

best way is to build a box around them and pressurize the whole thing. Otherwise I think you just need to pressurize the bowls and seal the shafts. I think both setups need a 1:1 pressure regulator too.
Maximum Boost by Corky Bell goes into it a bit.

A carb with Annular boosters is a must! Down leg and straight leg boosters are not sesitve enough for a forced induction setup. Investing in a blow through carb and a boost refrence regulator. carb hats will go over your bowl vent tubes so everything will become pressureized.

Well, i am still debating to be honest. I woulkd like to go blow thru carb for the cimplicity of it. No damn wiring/ecm or any of that shit to deal with. However i started a bit of an arguement as people say that for the $600 i will spend on a blow thru carb that i could go with a TPI setup, which in some minds is far superior to carb. I know blow thru setups are capable as if im not mistaken there is a blow thru setup that recently broke into the 7's.
Just trying to decide what would be best for me. I like having fuel injection as you get feedback and it can tell you more than a carb, however i dont know if that is worth the trouble, if i just buy a blow thru carn and have it tuned by someone who knows their shit then i wont really have to worry about it.
As of right now the plan is a Demon 850, i Will probablr be getting mine through " Vic Hubbard Speend and Marine" as they are $532 and im not to excited about ebay since some stupid bitch got a $400 hold on my paypal account.
anyways heres an ebay link to the carb i like:

If I was you I'd get on stevemorrisracingengines.com, get their contact number and call it. He's a really nice guy, super knowledgable, and I believe he'll sell you a blowthrough carb you'll need based on your combination, I've talked to him before, he's really helpful.
