Hi everyone,
I recently purchase a palm IIIc and a cable from some guy on DSMtalk. He said it would be ready to go but it is not. The battery ran out so it was not loaded with any programs. MMCD is out there but I'm seriously clueless on what to do.
I would REALLY appericate if someone could help me here. Possibly someone who already tunes with a logger? There is free beer for you :tonqe:
It is a 92 TsiAWD auto. I have a 91 TsiAWD 5-speed but she just went back into storage...again....without installed parts....again :Hangman:

If you know how to get MMCD on your palm that is a pretty easy program to use. Basically you connect the cable to the Palm, bring up MMCD...then you will have a list of peramiters on the top. You check what you want displayed then look at the bottom of the screen. There will be 3 checkboxes, the 2 you need to deal with say "log" and "pause".
Once you've selected your paramiters then uncheck pause and it will begin to transfer data. When you are ready to log simply check log and it will begin to save the file. When your done press log again or pause. You can then view your file later.
This site (http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/) should be able to tell you everything you need, you can also download it from there.

Thanks for the help. I'm so unknowledgable when it comes to computers and downloads.
From that page, which of the three do I select? I do not see any "log" and "pause" check boxes. Please put up with my stupidity

lol ok here...do you have the progam downloaded and installed on your PALM atleast? Bring up the program...and follow the directions. It takes some time to get used to but they give good directions what to do.
http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/Monitor-numeric.gif
http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/Monitor.gif
Those 2 show where the "log" and "pause" check boxes will be, as well as the graph check box and the difference.
http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/VSPD.gif
That shows at the bottom the Review, Monitor, and Test buttons are. WHen you are logging you want to click Monitor...and when you want to look over the log you click Review.
Got it?

Please......help a SPED :help:

these sits are not so easy to navigate. mmcd site took me a bit to find the right place too. are you having trouble finding the actualy file to dl?
if you have it on your computer, sync the pda with the computer. if you dont already, DL palm software to sync your pda to pc.
more than likely you have a ball and spring manual boost controler. if your haveing serious problems, just remove it. may need some wd40 too. or you can turn it all the way in i think, and that sets it to wastegate boost pressure.

or that would lead to unlimited boost. Opening the boost controller would in sense by-pass the ball and spring which would set it to wastegate pressure. Closing it all the way wouldn't let anyything pass...meaning the wastegate got nothing...so she won't open untill it blows open.

That is an understatement for me :Hangman:
This is no longer business, this is personal. I will get this f'ing thing to work or it will die while I'm trying.
I'm not ready for MMCD yet. I'm working on the PDA to computer hookup thing. When I purchased the palm he did not send a CD with it. This chit baffles me...I'm fricken 38 years old and can't figure this out...damn computers. I'll keep you posted but if there are any volenteers, come running

OKAY guys (and gals :yawinkle: )
Here is a deal for you.
I'm offering you a bribe to help me out. You get a choice of a brand new 12" subwoofer, a brand new set of tweeters, or a donation to the crunderground in your name. The speakers are brand new Pioneers.
All you have to do is get my palm to work (be able to log).
