Here's a dyno graph on a new gt 500 w cai and a sct reflash. Looks pretty good so far, they will have a 2.8L kb and a 3.3L whipple ready some time very soon. Till that time the 03 will kick their arse. They are at least 200# more weight.

And custom exhaust. Those things way around 3900 lbs. Wow.

Yea off road x pipe, sorry should have read more. Oh yea they now have a 2.6L kb and 2.8L coming for the cobra. Only graph I have seen is whipple (2.3L) vs 2.6L kb , kb put out 70rwhp more at 3# less boost.

i dont know whos car that is, but im waving a BS flag in a half..... that dyno is significantly higher than every gt 500 dyno i have seen to date on dynojet's by other people....and considering mustang dynos generally ALWAYS give lower HP numbers than a dynojet.. that means on a dynojet those numbers would have been even higher!!!
http://www.magnaflow.com/richard/GT500/gt500%20race%20cat%20x-pipe.JPG
that for instance is with the exhaust done x pipe and magna's
stock he was supposedly at 435 RWHP the tune brought them supposedly into the 470 range...on a dyno jet!
another which i dont have the dyno graph for was
HP 412.9 Torque: 409.2 as a best of 3 runs...
after exhaust and gears
HP: 446.5 Torque: 421.9
not saying your lying, because factory freaks do happen for sure... just saying that is out of wack for a normal gt500.... its 30 more rwhp than a similarly modded vehicle... which screams a pulley swap or something to me, even though it says stock pulley.....not saying those numbers arent HELLA nice...cause the damn thing is a beast..... i just tend to think their is more to this story...if their isnt... then hawwwwwt!! but its my opinion that their is..
just my .02

Now I'm not going to get into a debate, cause I don't have one, nor a reflasher... But considering a 03 with a reflash and cai and exhaust has seen 410 - 415 rwhp easily enough. Then consider the original 03 was rated at 390 flywheel/390 torque and put out around stock 350 - 365 rwhp. It boils down to the tune from the factory, is it like mine, it was 10.0/1 af and 21 deg? If it is then we can do a lot better, mine is now 11.7/1 at 23 deg w my 2.9 pulley or 25 - 27 deg with a stock 3.5 pulley and 93 octane in it.
One thing for sure they tune conservative from the factory, and if like a 03 the airbox was too small along with small exhaust.. The cai is worth 10 - 15 rwhp on a 03. I'd be ticked off with the 415 rwhp example we shall see what is right...

Just a reminder the new supercharger is far more efficient than the m112. So with adding a good tune, and exhuat you would see a larger gain (don't forget the better heads and bigger displacemenet)

The bad thing is weight and where the weight is.... It will take some real tires to hook up.

No shit, fat pigs, i can't wait to see the boss when it comes out. Ford is smart for trying to keep the wieght down and horsepower up. It will awesome.

I saw one of these in person (red convertible) at a local show in Austin. Ford actually brought it here and had a booth set up.
I dunno, I was rather unimpressed with it overall. I was hoping for a nicer looking product, more refined.
The GT40 right next to it was MUCH nicer :)

^ i like the GT40's 10x more than anything Ford's doing or done in the last couple years. i dont car if it is hundreds of thousands of dollars, its still awesome all-round.

I totally agree. There's a guy in our local SVT club who has a silver GT40. Such an awesome car to see in person. Pictures don't do those cars justice at all :prayer:

Update with a 2.6 pulley and retune... Same car and dyno....
http://www.evoperform.com/GT500/dyno-chart-pulley.jpg
Looks a lil better... They have now 2.6's we shall see what goes down, and metco is looking for a test car to build a lower pulley... you can only boost a lil without a bigger lower...
