I just finished my 1040 long by myself... I owe the feds $139.... at least they can't collect interest on my refund this year :)

I got an accountant but if you do them yourself I hear turbo tax gives you dection tips to earn you more money.

Ya turbo tax does help with the deductions but didnt help me one bit.

I had An accountant prepare mine, it was kind of expesive but Between me and my finace we got back 5800, so $300 for preparing them is not that bad.

I had someone do it for me and still got 1100 back... I cant bitch and that way all my paperwork is in the same spot if something should happen
