Ok I just bought a set of 2" lowering springs for the Eclipse for $40 and I just found out that if I lower it then it will be so low that it won't fit into my dad's garage or onto the hoist to get work done on it without it scraping. And I'm gonna be getting a new paint job and I don't want to ruin it. So should I put the springs on or not?

yeah man, put them on, and drive up a few inches on some mellow ramps to get the jack under the car. should be good.

fuck it... go ahead and lower it. make sure your struts/shocks are still decently usable. And get a front end alignment right after you lower it, unless you like excessive toe-in and increased tire wear. Here's my 1g FWD that I lowered over 2" with Ground Control adjustable CO's and KYB AGX's. It wasn't so low that it limited where I could go. http://www.geocities.com/xayasouk/car_stuff/90plymouthlasersmall.JPG

Alright. BTW rysbrnr, do you live in the same area as Trevor used to? Kirkwood Estates? That place looks familiar.

If yes then I'll give my friend Andrew a call so just give me a place and time and I'll be there

lower = better

if you can put a car on a hoist w/o blocks, it is too tall.

if the bottom of your car still has undercoating, it is too tall.

if the bottom of your bumper isn't scraped to fuck, it is too tall.

DustinI lived there from 96 to 00. I lived on that main street , dunt remember what it's called I think it was Eagle View Dr. kinda near that playground. Actually my old hose number 1716. You can see I had to extend the driveway for all my cars . I couldn't afford a garage at the time... Kirkwood student at the time. ( I had up 6 cars at one point, management hated me!).

i know that feeling, theres 6 cars at my house right now too. i have a garage though, so they only have to see 4, but i know they still dont like it. they hassle me all to hell about my Duster. its a little loud. it gets old, but what can you do? they also dont allow dogs over 40lbs, so we have to hide our dogs. its a chore.
